I’m pushing aside the memory of my nightmare, pushing aside thoughts of Alex, pushing aside thoughts of Hana and my old school, push, push, push, like Raven taught me to do. The old life is dead. But the old Lena is dead too. I buried her.I left her beyond a fence, behind a wall of smoke and flame. Lauren Oliver delivers an electrifying follow-up to her acclaimed New York Times bests eller, Delirium. This riveting, brilliant novel crackles with the fire of fierce defiance, forbidden romance, and the sparks of a revolution about to ignite.

Since she’d been on the outside, she’d survived an Aether storm, she’d had a knife held to her throat, and she’d seen men murdered. This was worse. Exiled from her home, the enclosed city of Reverie, Aria knows her chances of surviving in the outer wasteland - known as The Death Shop - are slim. If the cannibals don’t get her, the violent, electrified energy storms will. She’s been taught that the very air she breathes can kill her. Then Aria meets an Outsider named Perry. He’s wild - a savage - and her only hope of staying alive.

Publisher's Summary
The epic conclusion to Ann Aguirre's USA Today best-selling trilogy.
The horde is coming. Salvation is surrounded, monsters at the gates, and this time, they're not going away. When Deuce, Fade, Stalker and Tegan set out, the odds are against them. But the odds have been stacked against Deuce from the moment she was born.
She might not be a Huntress anymore, but she doesn't run. With her knives in hand and her companions at her side, she will not falter, whether fighting for her life or Fade's love.
Ahead, the battle of a lifetime awaits. Freaks are everywhere, attacking settlements, setting up scouts, perimeters, and patrols. There hasn't been a war like this in centuries, and humans have forgotten how to stand and fight. Unless Deuce can lead them. This time, however, more than the fate of a single enclave or outpost hangs in the balance. This time, Deuce carries the banner for the survival of all humanity.

Finally a real ending!
If you could sum up Horde in three words, what would they be?
Awesome, emotional & cleaver!
Who was your favorite character and why?
Deuce! She let nothing stand in her way not even herself to do what was right for the greater good.
Which scene was your favorite?
The scene were Deuce just returns from the "meeting" and Fade grabs her and holds on for dear life!......and the one just after they "swam" across.....
Don't want to give too much away but those who have read this awesome book knows just what I am talking about.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I waited for a year for this book but after having so many YA dystopian novels end so bad I was a little hesitant to even try this one altho I had loved this series from day 1. ( I just read Allegiant :( so I was expecting to be disappointed again ) So I started out expecting the worse but in the end this was the best book! Finally a writer that gives you an actually ending!!!! And bonus its a HAPPY ONE! But there will be tears shed threw out this book. This was a great listen and one I will be listening to again and again. This is by far one of my most favorite series!
Any additional comments?

Fitting Conclusion to the Series
What did you love best about Horde?
I like that Horde, the third and final book in the Razorland trilogy, ended properly! There were no loose ends (like the Delirium trilogy), no sudden or unpleasant surprises (like the Divergent trilogy), and no wishy-washy finales (like Sookie Stackhouse). That is not to say that there weren't any twists or surprises, but everything wrapped up nicely, without seeming false or colour-by-numbers.
Honestly, this wasn't my favourite YA series, but I did enjoy it and fans of Enclave and Outpost will absolutely LOVE it. Ann Aguirre did a great job of wrapping everything up in a satisfying way, and the epilogue was a nice touch.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
Satisfaction!
What does Emily Bauer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Emily Bauer brings a good balance of naïveté and toughness to Deuce's character.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, but that's just me, personally. As I said earlier, this wasn't my favourite series and I wasn't as in to it as I have been with other series. That doesn't mean it wasn't a good listen or a good book. Fans of the series will love Horde. I enjoyed it too.
Any additional comments?
I have been listening to this series with my pre-teen daughter and, though it's been a bit gory in spots and there have been sexual references that went over my daughter's head, I haven't really had to censor much. Horde DEFINITELY has some step-above-PG13 moments, so parents take note. It's still pretty tame compared to a lot of what is out there, but the romance factor is ramped up quite a bit compared to the other two books.

End of the Series
Horde is the final book in the Razorland saga (the name derived from a quote main character Deuce gave about the land she has to traverse once she left the enclave). The book draws the series to a satisfying close thanks to the author not rushing to a quick ending.
Deuce and Fade had set off to Soldier's Pond in order to help save their new home - but help may not make it in time and the horde continues to grow. Deuce knows she will eventually have to fight the horde if any of the human settlements are to survive, But as she travels to each colony to try to enlist an army, she finds nothing but ridicule, frustration, and very different situations in each. Meanwhile, Stalker becomes more aggressive about his suit and Fade is still traumatized by his time was a prisoner of the Horde. And they are changing - in ways she could never have predicted - they are getting smarter and they are now an unstoppable force.
As with the two previous books, there is a lot of travel and then a lot of fighting. Deuce is afraid to lose any of her group and she will encounter and then make new companions as she traverses the mutie-strewn landscape. At the heart, is her growing relationship with Fade and the author spends a good amount of time building their relationship further. As well, Stalker, Teagan, and even her new family will all greatly change as the horde rewrites the rules of the game.
There was a lot of filler and a lot of repeating motifs (the doubt over Fade's mental stabliity, her own ability to lead an army, etc.). Especially considering that we all know from the very start that the book is leading up to the epic battle vs the horde at the end. But Aguirre is a competent writer and this is very easy to follow.
I enjoyed Horde and especially appreciated being able to listen to the book on Audible while driving. The narrator was excellent and really channeled Fade, Deuce and the other characters perfectly.

Good ending. Very satisfying
If you have enjoyed the narrator, then you will enjoy this one. It remained consistent. In this final book, the author gave us answers to questions that kept popping up during this journey. She gave us hope, and entertained us as Deuce stood up as the leader she was borned to be. Deuce Oates accepted her family, her love and her destiny and did what so many other settlements were afraid to do.
Stand up and fight back. Take that freak mutties! Some loses were really felt, but the victory was sweet. Great ending to the trilogy

GREAT best one yet!
OMG I absolutely loved this last (sadly) chapter in Deuce's adventure. The story picked up with just as much action as it left off with. I love how the author has invented the "freaks" (humans mutated from biological weapons, testing and evolution). Deuce & Fade are a great believable couple. I'm in my 40's and I enjoyed this"young adult" couple.
Ok, Salvation is surrounded & attacked, Deuce creates her own army/resistance, there are unexpected allies and finally Deuce has a family and a real home. She and Fade and her new found family live happily ever after (some are not so lucky) in a place they can finally call home...........and safe!
Get it you won't regret it. I really hate that the series has ended. .

Wonderful conclusion !!!
If you could sum up Horde in three words, what would they be?
GRIPPING, FAST PACE AND UNFORGETTABLE This book has everything, it's the right combination of romance and action with an amazing ending. Actually all three books are great.Well done, it was worth the wait.
What did you like best about this story?
I really enjoy stories where you forget all that is happening around you. Stories that are so well written that you start to empathize with the characters and their journeys. Stories that made you laugh and cry. Stories that you just CAN NOT turn off.
This series is one of those and this last audio book is the perfect conclusion for an amazing Trilogy.
Which scene was your favorite?
The last one. I LOVE happy endings
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yes, it made me cry and laugh
Any additional comments?
I happily recommend this book

A Fantastic 3rd Final Book!!!
What did you love best about Horde?
I loved that it was as good as the first 2 books. Everything about it was excellent!
Who was your favorite character and why?
Obviously my favorite character is Deuce. She is the strongest female character out of any book or movie I have ever seen. I give this credit to the author. I hate when female authors make their main female character dumb and have a tendency for getting themselves in trouble every 5 minutes. This character was strong, smart, and full of courage.
Have you listened to any of Emily Bauer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
She was one of the best narrators!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This book made me smile, laugh, & feel sad at times.
Any additional comments?
I can only hope that Ann Aguirre continues writing books that take place in the same world. Obviously these character and their stories are done. But I can only hope that she can find a parallel story/characters for the same world of imagination. If not, than I hope all of her books are just as exciting!

wow..
I was amazingly pleased with this series. I absolutely love it when a story surprises me and this one definitely did. Emily Bauer did a fantastic job bringing the characters to life and I feel that Ann Aguirre did a superb job writing the series as a whole. I listened to the first two books, Enclave and Outpost on the library app, but purchased Horde because I couldn't wait to hear the rest of the story. These books are quite popular on the library app and I was on the hold list waiting for the last one. however, now I am probably going to purchase the first two books so that I can listen to them again and whenever I want.
The books may be meant for young adults, but don't let that throw you. The story is sound and engaging. You also aren't left wondering at the end or with a bunch of open ends. If you enjoy post apocalyptic stories, then I encourage you to check this series out.
