Publisher's Summary

It was supposed to be a prank. A silly frat boy dare.

One hot moment in a hidden storage closet. One kiss. No consequences.

But if you get that close to a man with fire in his eyes, you’re gonna get burned, and I was no exception. One taste of Grey Blackwood ruined me for life.

The way Grey sees it, I was the one who did the ruining. I humiliated him. Wrecked his life. Destroyed his future.

Doesn’t matter that he’s clawed his way back and then some. Doesn’t matter that he’s already top of the Wall Street food chain. The man’s ruthless. Heartless. And he likes his revenge served cold.

Now he’s taking down the companies owned by every frat boy who did him wrong. And when he comes for my family’s company, the quiet life I’ve built for myself far away from Manhattan comes crumbling down, too.

But when Grey’s standing in our boardroom, threatening a hostile takeover and demanding I negotiate on behalf of my family, I don’t see an enemy. I see the chance I’ve been waiting for.

The chance for another night in his arms, and hopefully a whole lot more.

Let the negotiations begin.

Hostile Takeover is a full-length, standalone novel.

One of the best enemies to lovers mm story

First of all disclaimer I love Lucy Lennox and she is an auto buy for me. She writes some of the most quirky, snarky characters and she has such a great catalog of wonderful books.

This is a stand-alone enemies to lovers mm romance that hits all my sweet spots. Ellison is a sympathetic MC who did something that caused Grey to hate him so much that he did a hostile takeover of Eli’s family company to take revenge. I love how she got them into situations that really build up the tension and gives me the feels.

Thank you Lyric for casting Teddy as Ellison and Sean as Grey. They really elevates the story with their narration. I never thought I love the awkward Teddy so much! Alpha and growly Sean is always so fun to listen to.

I relistened to the third act of the stories thrice because I just love it so much. If you like a well written, smart and well researched story that has quirky characters and gives you all the feels, this is the book for you.

Just enough!

There’s just enough passion. Just enough romance. Just enough stupid misunderstanding. Just enough adult content.

In a lot of books in this genre, there is imbalance. This book had me hooked. The blossoming of their relationship gave ME butterflies.

I really enjoyed the narration of this book.

It was hard to put it down and have to deal with real life. I pushed throughout a day of work but then stayed up till 2am to finish it. I couldn’t put it down. Ellison and Grey were so good together. The snark. Play on words and the feelings between these two felt so real. You knew Grey needed someone like Ellison from the first book. He needed someone to ground him. Ellison whose is by-curious but only for Grey. These two set them selves up for a fall but then fall even Harding for each other. Great read.

Story & Narration 5⭐

This is my 1st review. I loved the story, both MC's & Teddy Hamilton killed it (as usual). Definitely worth a credit. I'll never hear a 'pfft' the same again. Lol. ❤

Great narration combo

I love this book! I haven't been listening to alot of Lucy Lennox lately from being super burnt out on M.D.'s narration. Which sucks cause I really like Lucy's books. It's not angsty, has a good bit of snark, and pretty hot. LOVEEEEEEEE Teddy and Sean. More please !!

Teddy and Sean 💘

Lucy Lennox, Great choice for narrating pair on this one. Teddy and Sean did great justice to their characters. Definitely not as hostile as I thought it would be but I enjoyed the story and it kept my attention throughout. HEA for the duo was what we all wanted to happen and the details leading us to that ending were detailed and fact filled. well worth the credit and your time to listen.

Very Enjoyable Sexy Romp!!!

Loved each chapter's beginning with a selection from "The Art of War," by Sun Tzu. A perfect way to preface a storyline built around a man steeped on revenge by doing..., Hostile Takeovers! Great background for a wonderful enemies-to-lovers saga!! The main characters were delightfully flawed, but their strengths charmingly enhanced their desires to get past preconceived beliefs about the other.

Supporting personalities were skillfully peppered in & among the smooth flowing storyline, leading up to a very HEA!! Thoroughly enjoyed this romantic experience, which was well narrated by two men I've enjoyed on several other books. Get comfy as you'll listen a lot longer than you originally planned!!

A story of love, betrayal, anger and romance.

I loved the story. I want there to be a sequel. it was good to see that his dad loses everything. Not just the business but his family and close friends.

New narrators is so refreshing

One of the things that really drew me to wanting to listen to this story was the change of narrators. Lucy Lennox has used the same narrator for nearly all her books, but this time we get to listen to the wonderful voices of Teddy Hamilton and Sean Crisden. I always love dual narrators when you get dual POVs, and this was brilliant.

The story is kind of like all our fantasies coming true. The old I will get you back big time and boy did he. Grey was ruthless, and hostile, but he also had a warmer side to him. It was nice to see him as more. Ellison, well he was just a sweetheart being eaten up in a world of wolves. He should never have been there.

I loved the way they came together as they worked through their stuff. Even more so as I listened to Teddy and Sean bring them to life.

Loved it, would recommend it.
