🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥

This book was so hot I thought my phone might just spontaneously combust. Hot Cop was definitely a listen that exceeded my expectations though I should have known I would love it from authors alone. Laurelin Paige and Sierra Simone never fail to disappoint or at delivering a captivating story with flawed but wonderful characters and OH. HOT. DAMN. Those sex scenes... *fans self...dumps ice water over self...passes out from heart palpitations* Though our lead heroine can sometimes make you want to grab her by the shoulders and shake some sense into her you can't help but root for this couple. And Chase...well he might be my favorite book boyfriend so far (doesn't hurt that I imagined the fuck hot Bearded Captain America himself Chris Evans when reading) and Jacob Morgan....well his voice does things to me that I dare not speak and Elena holds her own against him, making the whole experience more enjoyable than I could have hoped for. My only complaint is that I want MORE to read/listen to! This one is definitely going on the listen again list! 💚🔥

Perfect. My perfect Romance with my perfect narrator Zachary Jacob. 💕

I happen to have my own Hot Cop, so this story moved me on a personal level. Also, the story was adorable. Fun, sexy, and emotionally moving. I am obsessed with Zachary Webber as a narrator (aka Jacob Morgan) and have been working my way through EVERYTHING he has narrated. I also like Elena Wolfe too. They have done other stories together and they are a good paring. This story will be added to my GO TO Re-Listen books. Stories that I love so much, and evoke all the good feels, that I listen to them again when I am working on a project or sitting in traffic and need a dose of happy. Another of my Zachary Webber favs is Brooklynaire by Sarina Bowen. If you are an author, and you cast Zachary Jacob Webber Morgan as your male narrator, I will read (listen to) your book. He is the REASON I have an audible subscription and the Audible Romance package. Ms Paige & Ms Simone, thank you for this GEM. I read Porn Star first, and though I liked it, it wasn’t really my jam. I was worried that Hot Cop would feel similar. I was WRONG. HOT COP is my version of a perfect romantic escape that left me with a huge smile on my face as I drifted off to sleep when it ended. At 4am, since I couldn’t pit it down!!!

Good Writing - Annoying Characters

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Not really. Maybe to a friend that enjoys baby crazy heroines

Would you be willing to try another book from Laurelin Paige and Sierra Simone ? Why or why not?

Yes, because I did enjoy the writing.

Any additional comments?

Full Review -

First off, the writing is good, and the book is entertaining. Next, I listened to the audiobook version of this story, and the narrators did a great job, I like that there was a male narrator and a female narrator, and I liked that this book had POV from both main characters. The thing that ruined my enjoyment of this book was that the main characters annoyed me. Livia annoyed me the most, she's baby crazy, she thinks she's dying because she is/almost is 30, most of her actions make me think she isn't very intelligent, and a lot of the time she comes across as a witch with a "B". Now, I get that it's suppose to be a bit comical, but I just found it all annoying, and even the fact that she's a book lover couldn't endear her to me. Chase isn't too bad, but when he mentioned that he may have other babies out there that he doesn't know about, I was just thinking ewww...what a douche! Livia and Chase do have good chemistry, and they have lots of sexy times, but I had a hard time enjoying those scenes because I wasn't liking the characters, but they were still hot; minus the scene at the end. I just think the premise wasn't one I enjoy, so as I said, the writing is good and I was entertained, so there's probably plenty of people who don't mind the characters little "quirks". I'm just not a fan of the baby crazy scenario. I have read other books by Laurelin Paige and enjoyed them more than this one, so I'll keep on reading her books, and since this is the first book I've read by Sierra Simone, I would like to read other books by her to get a feel for her work.

Good story, female character is not believable

Would you listen to Hot Cop again? Why?

No

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Make Livia less ignorant.

What about Elena Wolfe and Jacob Morgan ’s performance did you like?

All of it. They are fantastic narrators, hands down.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No extreme reactions.

Any additional comments?

I like Chase but it's hard to connect to Livia. She made the plan and wanted it but Chase seems to know more about the whole thing than her. I would think she would be prepared but nope. Also, she doesnt seem practical and logical. Good story, just not that great.

Wanted to love it but...

I wanted to love this book because I really loved the main male character, but the main female character drove me insane. I can usually handle a little weakness/whining/self doubt but this was just soooo much. The dramatics over having to have a kid before she turns 30 because after that she'll be "dead", the "every guy leaves. " I just found it really hard to get through her chapters and listen to her thought process for most of the book. Which sucks because I think this could have been a great book. Like I said, I loved the main male character. I unfortunately also found his sister really pushy and annoying. I don't know if I've just been reading too much of this genre lately and the number of female characters like this is just on overload or what, but I almost DNFed this book a couple times. I wanted closure for the one character I really liked though, so I powered through. I still want to check out other books by these authors because I liked the writing, I just hope I can find some different female personalities. Of course Elena Wolfe and Jacob Morgan are FANTASTIC as always :) I specifically seek out books narrated by them and highly recommend.

BLM Reference ruined book

It had the potential to be really good. But the reference she made about glorifying BLM ruined the book for me. What I did listen to the narrators did a very good job.

Sweet story

I do get a little frustrated at the "I can't fall in love. He will leave me. All men leave," type of story. It is sweet and sexy with the typical angst. I am loving Jacob Morgan. I really like that these are 2 regular people with normal jobs and normal lives. And yes, badge bunnies are real. Lol

Two Perfect Authors come together with brilliance

This book has a few laugh out loud moments and a few heart stopping moments.
Everyone loves a drop dead smoking hot cop. Everyone loves leggings, stained tops and top knot buns when cruising around. And everyone loves a story when you find attraction in the most awkward sitations!

Steaming hot, and i mean HOT scenes, romance and everything you could ever want in a novel.

I feel this book should also come with a reader disscression as towards the end of the book it has some really hard hitting and confronting moments.

Way too baby making focused

The narration is great I enjoyed that, but this story was ruined for me by all the focus on making a baby and using chase as a baby maker. Each to their own but the constant baby making talk put me off

I would totally let Chase handcuff me too!!!!

5 “Officer good times” Stars!! This book had me hook, line and sinker as soon as Chase was introduced... because c’mon ... a guy in a uniform... enough said! But, there is so much more to Chase and his to die for body and looks... he is also caring and so good with his nephews. Ovary explosion right here!!! I also liked Livia as a heroine, she was witty and fun.. although I did think that her reason for having a baby was a little bit immature... but hey, Chase and his alphaness made up for this. And to top it all off, the audiobook was co-narrated perfectly by the yummilicious Jacob Morgan. That in itself is a good reason to listen to this audiobook.. like yesterday!
