Publisher's Summary

The NHL's biggest bad boy is about to fall for the virgin next door...

I am the world's biggest dating failure. We're talking my last date went home with our waitress kind of failure.

But I have an ace in the back pocket of my mom jeans - my sexy-as-sin best friend, NHL superstar forward, Justin Cruise.

Justin owes me favors dating back to seventh grade, long before he became a hotshot with a world famous...stick. So in return for my undying platonic loyalty, all I want is an easy-peasy crash course on how to be a sex goddess.

How hard can it be?

I have never been so hard in my life.

The things I want to do to my sweet, kindergarten-teaching, mitten-crocheting best friend Libby Collins are 10 different kinds of wrong. Maybe 20.

But I'm a firm believer in teaching by example, and by the end of our first lesson, we've graduated to a hands on approach to her sexual education: my hands all over her, her hands all over me, and her hot mouth melting beneath mine as I prove to her there isn't a damned thing wrong with the way she kisses.

Give me a month, and I'll transform Libby from wall flower to wall banger, and ensure she's confident enough to seduce any guy she wants.

Problem is...the only guy I want her seducing is me.

The Bad Motherpuckers Are Here!

Hot hockey players, you say? Yes, please, and thank you, Lili Valente, for this awesome new series about the Portland Badgers and the women that they love.

Justin Cruise, star forward for the Badgers, is more than just a pro on the ice. Sexy as all get-out, he's also literally the boy next door. So when Libby Collins finds herself in need of someone to teach her the finer arts of seduction, she can think of no one that she'd rather learn from than Justin.

Justin has always seen Libby as sort of a little sister, but she's blossomed into much more than that over the years. What starts out as a friend helping a friend is soon blazing hotter than either one expected, and neither Justin nor Libby are looking at each other the same way.

I love absolutely everything that Lili writes, so it comes as no surprise that this first book in the new series owned my heart I adore the relationship between Libby and Justin, and was rooting for this pairing from the very start. It is, by turn, sweet, sexy, and pretty danged scorching, and just what I've come to expect and love from Lili.

Tyler Donne and Summer Roberts do an excellent job of capturing the personalities of these characters, and made listening to HOT AS PUCK truly enjoyable. It's no surprise that this story is 5 stars all around, and that I can't wait to pop in my earbuds for the next installment.

A Must Buy

Would you consider the audio edition of Hot as Puck to be better than the print version?

Not necessarily, I love both. But there's something really special about the way the narrators bring the characters to life.

What other book might you compare Hot as Puck to and why?

Magnificent Bastard and Spectacular Rascal have the same type of humor and romance.

What about Tyler Donne and Summer Roberts ’s performance did you like?

The narrators add so much humor and emotion to the characters, its a real pleasure to listen to them.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Oh yes! I wish I had the time to do that.

Politics

I read to get away from everyday stuff. So to have to read someone’s views especially when that story is telling you on first dates don’t talk religion or politics and it’s your first book in series and you bring up a very controversial situation. Double standard/ hypocrisy... I could go on So I stopped at that point and deleted the rest in the series. Write the book, write the story keep your political thoughts to yourself. We get that too much anymore in everyday life. Books=escape. I’ll be shocked if this review gets printed.

I tried....

I struggled to finish. The narrators were killing me, especially the Male. The story just seemed to drag on. I ended up finishing it because my OCD wouldn't allow me to end in 3 chapters in.

Nice story but....

I'm all for romance stories and allowing them to transport me into a happily-ever-after but this story had some obvious issues, most especially the fact that tough hockey-playing men do not openly share their feelings with each other in a locker room.

One huge turn off was the male narrator. He read all the erotic material like it was an owner's manual for a calculator. It was way too clinical and had absolutely no passion at all.

This book had a decent story line though.

This book was a total train wreck

I'm not sure which was worse, the pathetically unbelievable storyline, cringe-worthy dialog, or the monotone narrators. Also, for those who are interested in a hockey story, there was virtually no hockey in the story at all. Skate away from this one as fast as you can!

PUCKING Amazing!!

What made the experience of listening to Hot as Puck the most enjoyable?

I've read the physical book before, but the audio was absolutely amazing. Listening to the narrators bring this story to life made it enjoyable and realistic.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Hot as Puck?

This entire book is memorable for me, but I loved when Justin wrote Libby the second poem telling her he loves her. Justin's poems were hilarious but so him.

Which character – as performed by Tyler Donne and Summer Roberts – was your favorite?

I loved them both equally.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Not a particular moment, but the friendship between Justin and Libby moved me in itself. The fact that they will do anything for one another was proof enough that they've been in love for a lot longer than they realized.

Any additional comments?

This is my favorite Sports Romance series.

Laura is a c*nt

I get the protective sister bit but Laura was shady the entire book. Instead of being a grown up & discussing her hurt feelings she put her so called friend down every chance she got... that annoyed me!
Also Laura's high horse speech to Justin in text about how well she knows her sister was high handed & again I fail to see how someone who thinks so little of someone else can call that person their best friend. She clearly doesn't know her sister or Justin well. She better have an apology for him that's just as speechy

Kind of a dud

I understand it's a romance book but if you are looking for a Helena Hunting type of book. Don't stop here. Weak characters and weak storyline. I could have written this and I don't have any expertise in this field.
Good voice actors but not a good well thought out storyline

Story was good but...

Enjoyed the story linee of two friends finding love.

Writer goes into `preachy mode` on political subjects like gun control which has no place in a romance novel.

Not worth it.

Go to the pucked series if you want a god story about hockey, romance and sex.
The characters are boring and hard to get to know. The story is fast with no substance, and very uneventful. The sex is kinda good but ruind by the unlikable character.

Bad story, good narators and so not worth the time.

Funny and sexy!

Libby asks her best friend Justin to teach her how to be a sex goddess. Of course he agrees to help her, that's what friends do. Don't they?
Hot As Puck is a funny and sexy read! And I loved the narrators.

Boring, DNF

I usually like this author, but I only listened to a bit over an hour of this book before giving up. After realising it has been sitting in my Unfinished library for 6 months, I’m returning it.

AMAZING

I loved this book! This is one of the many books that kept popping up in my recommended and I chose to give it a go - an awesome choice as it turned out. The romance in this is obvious but it is still so amazing to read how it develops. This whole story will keep you on a roller coaster of emotions that in the end makes you love that you did it. I honestly have no idea what thoughts I want to put 'down on paper, or in this case screen' because there are just so many. What I will say about this book though is that if you have read the blurb and think you will like it, give it a go because there is a huge chance you will love it as much as I do. Whether you read it or listen to it as an audiobook (in my case, I listened to it and absolutely loved the narration), the story is still amazing! I loved this book!

Barley started

Reviews said it would be comical and an easy listen. It has been in my wish list. I stated it and the male narrator himself didn't seem to care, and neither did I. For a easy going, fill in book between great series I'd expect more considering the rave reviews. Returned asap.

Lots of fun

Considering the title I wasn't expecting much. But it had a nice story and some hilarious dialogue. Definitely worth a listen :)
