Publisher's Summary

Organized around a simple metaphor of a dipper and a bucket - already familiar to thousands of people - How Full Is Your Bucket? shows how even the smallest interactions we have with others every day profoundly affect our relationships, productivity, health and longevity. Coauthor Donald O. Clifton studied the effects of positive and negative emotions for half a century, and he and his colleagues interviewed millions of people around the world. Their discoveries contributed to the emergence of an entirely new field: Positive Psychology. These same discoveries are at the heart of How Full Is Your Bucket?

Clifton, who also coauthored the best seller Now, Discover Your Strengths, penned How Full Is Your Bucket? with grandson Tom Rath. Written in an engaging, conversational style, their book includes colorful stories and five strategies for increasing positive emotions, and it features an online test that measures listeners' Positive Impact.

How Full Is Your Bucket? is a quick, breezy listen. It will immediately help listeners boost the amount of positive emotions in their lives and in the lives of everyone around them. The book is sure to inspire lasting changes in all who listen to it, and it has all the makings of a timeless classic.

The expanded anniversary edition includes updated research and content and a workbook for individual and team development.

To much promotional information

I have read how to be a bucket filler for kids and fell in love with the story. The idea influenced my own actions and helped me to improve my own outlook and share that with my students. However, this story was very short and had so much information about other promotional materials it just fell short of my expectations. I felt that it lacked depth, and was more to promote the Clifton Strength Finder rather than the actual premise of bucket filling. I hope there is another version out there, that has more substantial information about the studies done and that goes more into depth about bucket filling

negligent and dismissive

personally, negligent to the people who are experiencing a mental health disorder, disease, trauma, or ptsd. people who do not have the ability to *choose to react positively. premise is true positive > negative and what you speaks breeds life. but if you're coworker is *negative, there's a reason. people aren't inherently good or evil/pos neg. it is not a debate of nature. it is nature. filling other ppls buckets is nurturing. the whole book is about fostering and nurturing positivity. but contradicts itself with nature v nurture convos.

Short but insightful

An enjoyable read overall, relatable and some easy wins to be achieved from it. Would have been nice if the code for the promotional content was available right away. Waiting almost a week and no sign of the promo code.
