Story
Zeke Daniels isn't just a douchebag; he's an asshole. A total and complete jerk, Zeke keeps people at a distance. He has no interest in relationships - most assholes don't. Dating? Being part of a couple? Nope. Not for him. He's never given any thought to what he wants in a girlfriend, because he's never had any intention of having one. Shit, he barely has a relationship with his family, and they're related; his own friends don't even like him. So why does he keep thinking about Violet DeLuca? Sweet, quiet Violet - his opposite in every sense of the word.

Kip Carmichael is no pretty boy. He's rough. Dirty. Giant. Hair so unruly, and a beard so thick, his friends on the team call him Sasquatch. The first time Sasquatch lays eyes on Theodora "Teddy" Johnson across the keg at a party one night on Jock Row, she'd been relegated to the sidelines by her jock-hungry "friends". Week after week, he watches beautiful but bashful Teddy getting overshadowed and overlooked. Sasquatch finally broad-shoulders his way through the crowd, offering to to be her hairy godmother. But the minute their eyes meet? He's a goner.

"Hard pass." That's what the last girl I slept with said when she got her first sober glimpse of me. She laughed, walked out of my penthouse - and I never saw her again. Am I friends with JP Cane? Ha! That's laughable. Besides the fact that he’s adopted some far-fetched notion from the movie When Harry Met Sally that says men and women can't be friends and work together, it’s safe to say we're not friends. He's annoyingly loud, obnoxiously handsome, and has made an art out of poking all my hot buttons...multiple times a day. So you can imagine how disgruntled I am when I not only have to fly to San Francisco with him for work, but stay in the same penthouse. Yup, we're sharing the same air, 24-7. We're talking full-fledged working roommates.

I knocked up my best friend's sister. Let's start with how she decided to inform me and Pacey the news...together. Imagine that nightmare. I was going into what I thought was a hockey marketing meeting, and then bam! I'm going to be a dad and my best friend/teammate is attempting to imprint my face with his fist. Threats were tossed around, friendships were revoked, and then I was marched up to her apartment, suitcases in hand, and forced to live with her so I could take care of her every need. Now I'm finding it harder and harder not to fall for my best friend's little sister.

Everyone says opposites attract. And they must be right, because there’s no logical reason why I’m so drawn to Colin Fitzgerald. I don’t usually go for tattoo-covered, video-gaming, hockey-playing nerd-jocks who think I’m flighty and superficial. His narrow view of me is the first strike against him. It doesn’t help that he’s buddy-buddy with my brother. And that his best friend has a crush on me. And that I just moved in with them. Oh, did I not mention we’re roommates?

Publisher's Summary
Crude. Arrogant. A--hole.
No doubt about it, Sebastian "Oz" Osborne is the university's most celebrated student athlete - and possibly the biggest douchebag. A walking, talking cliché, he has a filthy mouth, a fantastic body, and doesn't give a sh-t about what you or anyone else thinks.
Smart. Classy. Conservative.
Make no mistake, Jameson Clarke may be the university's most diligent student - but she is no prude. Spending most of her time in the hallowed halls of the library, James is wary of pervs, jocks, and douchebags - and Oz Osborne is all three.
She's smart, sarcastic - and not what he expected....
Every douchebag has his weakness.
He wants to be friends. He wants to spend time with her. He wants to drive her crazy.
He wants...her.

Fun, sexy, and laughs for days
This was a fun, sexy book. Told with dual narration, that of Oz and Jameson, this book focuses on two college students who are inexplicably drawn to each other with more chemistry than double session O-Chem lab day.
Oz is a star athlete, on scholarship, struggling to keep up his grades. He has no shortage of promiscuous co-eds at his disposal. Jameson is more cerebral, but also struggling to keep up her grades.
Meet cute: the library. Of course!
I liked a lot about this book, but here were the misses:
1) Oz's backstory with his sister - mentioned only once and not thereafter, and it doesn't really inform the remainder of his life's decisions. It's surprising that a human resources manager so casually uses and mistreats woman.
2) The characters admit they like each other, do nothing about it, and then have the same talk again and act surprised about. Maybe a little more editing would have served this book well.
3) Jameson's motiviation to bang a random college guy. Well, why not bang Oz, then? I wasn't sure about that weird plot.
I write this review taking into account the spirit in which the book was written: this is a rom-com, not meant to be serious, intended to provide lighthearted fluff and giggles to the readers. This book succeeds in that endeavor. This book is a light, quick romp into the world of chicklit. Similar to Sophie's goals of a Mr. Right for Now, this book is simply a "right for now" read. It's not literature; it's a fun ladies read.
There was a lot to giggle at with this book: the vetting process yielded some laughs; Sophie's relationship her roommate, Jason, was hysterical; the dates were both cringe- and laugh-worthy; and Sophie's father was a cute gem.
There were some misses with this book, though. For example, the whole premise of the No More Bad Dates pact. If the ladies simply wanted a Mr. Right for Now, why even bother vetting? Who gives a crap if a guy has weird habits if he's just a present-day distraction. I didn't understand that at all. Also, the weird habits that were disclosed during the vetting process were entirely unrealistic. I understand that this is part of the book's charm: it's not meant to be taken seriously or literally. It still annoyed me the teensiest bit, though.
My favorite theme of this book is the "career" theme. I relate to Sophie in so many ways. I'm doing a job well below my training and skill set, and for far less money than I've ever made in my life. But I prefer it. It keeps me sane, happy, comfortable, and stress-free. I appreciated this aspect of the book.
Overall, I give this book a 3 star review. It succeeds at its goal, and it provided me a nice, mindless couple of hours. It's an average chick lit read, and I would recommend it to anyone who'd like to cleanse their palate in between more serious reads.
From a scale of 1 to 10 (this is a rating of how present these components were, NOT how good or bad they were):
Romance - 6 (the book didn't set up a lot of big, sweeping romantic gestures, but Oz was sweet to Jameson now and then)
Smut - 7 (Could have used more, but it's there)
Humor - 6 (the little jokes, anecdotes before each chapter gave me a chuckler)
Cat and Mouse - 10 (it's the whole point of the book)
Rich man / Poor woman theme - 0 (not a plot point)
Sexy setting - 10 (what's sexier than college-age students with perfect bodies, and of course, the library)
I both read and listened to the audiobook version of this book.

Profanely funny!!
I wasn't sure what to expect when I bought this audiobook, but I was often startled into laughing aloud. This irreverent, hilarious, yet somehow sweet college romance was a real delight to listen to. The hero has a potty mouth, but in a funny way. The heroine is a prim, scholarly and inexperienced girl who is at times wickedly funny too. He takes a dare from his buddies and she falls in with it, which sets his interest on her. He's kind of a womanizer, but something about her keeps drawing him to her. I loved the story, the characters and narration was well done.

A MUST READ!!!
My favorite type of story is a college romance with a combination of opposites attract, enemies to lovers, friends to lovers, and sexy steaminess!!!
Sara Ney NAILED it!!!!
She gave it all in this book!
So funny and flirty.
So Sexy and Addictive!!!
An amazing story of the journey two people take when falling in love.
Sebastian and Jamison are the cutest couple. They banter endlessly and their connection is explosive.
Their chemistry was a slow build that literally vibrated until it combusted!!
I loved that slow agonizing burn. It was beautiful.
Absolutely Beautiful.
The writing is flawless. The author sucks you into this story and has you falling head over heels for the characters.
I could put it down.
I laughed and swooned!
And when they finally came together after their agonizing build up, it was TOTALLY worth the wait. Sara blew me away with the intensity of it!!
I listened to this on audio!
So so good!!!!!!
Josh Goodman and Muffy Newtown were FANTASTIC!!
They were so passionate and on point with the characters and everything just came together so perfectly.
I'm on a high right now from this amazing read.
I'm telling you, you need this book in your life!!

"...make cardigan-wearing babies"
Sebastian was a little obnoxious. He and Jameson started off on a cliched bet. This one was funny, but it dragged in places, so it was a simple, NA romance, with college-aged subjects. It also featured this author's usual relationship trope lady killer-big man on campus meets cautious, cute girl, he wants her, and she, or they both, friend-zones it, until the sexual tension builds as much as their quirky relationship builds. Then they realize....well ya know.
I've read 2 of the Jock Row books (Bks 1 and 2, both of which were shorter and better than this one, IMO), and this is my third one by Ney. I may read another by this author but hopefully, I'll be more selective and choose a better one, because though I like the author's style, there are some habits in writing that annoy: some slow-builds are too slow; some endings are either too episode-like or not given enough detail, and some character-development is forgotten for the sake of "cute."

Surprisingly good!
I went into this with my finger poised over the “stop” button thinking it was going to be cringe-worthy. As my college days are a few decades behind me I was prepared to dislike the story. However I started to become intrigued by the storyline. I find myself laughing and smiling throughout the book. There were so many parallels between the couples romance and my own college romance that I was charmed. The college scenes were relatable regardless of the decade For that part of your life. The author does an amazing job of luring you into the love.
I don’t “hate” this female narrator. She has a little bit of an Erin Mallon feel, but at times her breathiness quality is over the top and becomes a bit grating. All in all, a very good story and I’m intrigued for the next in the series. I’m also glad to have found a new author! (Chapter titles were absolutely hilarious almost enough to go back and just re-listen to each chapter title.)

Good storyline
This is a great book if you love humor in romance. It’s funny, witty, and full of sarcasm. I enjoyed the book, but there were a few storylines in the book that never played out, which was confusing. I would recommend if you want a good laugh.

I was worried at the begining
At first I was appaled by the main male character Oz...really appaled. But I was working around the house and just let the story run and before I new it the story started to right itself and become something more than it's beginning. All of a sudden I was actually invested in the characters and their growth. There was drama but not in a cheesy drawn out way. The characters showed up in a very positive way and the growth was believable...I was glad I listened to this by accident.

Horrible Narritive, Lacks substance & Extremely crude toward women and sex in general
The narrator or for Jameson doesn’t have a bad voice, it’s just the context in which she speaks in so incredibly annoying. And when it got to the point where they finally date and having “intimate moments’ (one was just on a date in the batting cages), oh wow...it sounded like straight up porn the way she moans all loud and annoying and speaks all out of breath and high pitched. I almost stopped the book altogether. But I was already 70% in, so I finished it and just fast forwarded the “love scenes”. The guy was mediocre but not bad.
There also wasn’t really a climax in the story either. The whole book feels like you’re reading about the beginning of a relationship and romance, and then...that’s it lol it lacks conflict, a plot and overall substance.
It’s also pretty degrading toward women. And I was hesitant to download this, but it had a lot of good reviews so I gave it a go, but if you’re reading this-Pass on it. There’s SO much better for romance or YA romance out there.

Joyful and fun
I believe that for pure escapist fun this audiobook really hits the spot.
The narrators were excellent. The storyline classic college romance.
Just joyful and fun

Satisfyingly entertaining.
Light hearted but enough emotion that its not bland. Not OTT with angst or absurd situations. Narration is seamless.

Falling in love with the Douchebags all over again!
I really enjoyed listening to Sara Ney’s first book from her How to Date a Douchebag series. Oz and James’ story was a great read and this time around it was definitely an enjoyable listen!
This was my first dual narration audiobook (as opposed to duet narration) and it took a little getting used to. I actually preferred Josh Goodman’s take on James in comparison to the “manly voice” that Muffy Newton puts on for Oz. And it was that which detracted from the story a bit for me.
In saying that, the storyline itself was a strong as ever in audio!! And I did thoroughly enjoy listening to the book. I’m looking forward to hearing the rest of the series.
