For People Who Have No idea

i learnt most of stuff reading on the internet and youtube. For people who have no idea or any clue of this subject. Like blank slate never been exposed to this subject. what i did enjoy is it help affirm the vocabulary and definitions that you will come across. as well with a good explaination of indicators and other vocabulary in the industry.

mediocre advice

The book was fairly comprehensive in talking about what markets there are for trading, but did little to discuss actual strategies and rules of day trading. It's nice to talk about things like looking at trends, but that should be a no brainer. Talking about buying and selling $500 in the same day was never accompanied with a warning that most places will track your transactions and possibly suspend your trading for 90 days. (Look up "pattern day trader" if you're serious about getting into day trading!)

Meh…it’s a book.

It’s not all that informative. The best value is probably explaining some of the analytical data. Doesn’t really provide anything else if value if you have a modicum of knowledge in the field. It’s a bit weird because it starts saying it’s a beginners guide to day trading, but then uses some of the established terms and acronyms to describe things indicating you’d have to have some prior knowledge.

I just don’t feel like it was that great. The author uses the analogy about hitting a home run about 927 times. He suggests you shouldn’t bet the farm on one stock, so basically just gave me the same advice my mom would give me before hitting a casino.

The best story he provided if a successful day trader was his friend. He admits his friend didn’t have a lot of money, then speculates as his friend dreams of making millions and retiring, but ultimately he still had to work, couldn’t even afford a brand new car, and didn’t have money to travel, but he dreams of being a millionaire one day.

Just wasn’t all that well written. Wasn’t as informative as I had imagined. Narrator is ok. He sounds like a robot, but everything is automated these days. Just go to a McDonalds drive thru.

Unsatisfying in a good way

This book isn’t perfect. It’s not complete. It is more philosophical than practical, focusing mainly on ideas. But that’s a good thing. The hardest part of day trading is the psychological aspect, certainly for me, and I generally hear the same from others as well. I can only imagine the mess a “complete” book on the topic would be. So I think this approach is a good one. The only thing that I think is not good is that there are some things (especially references to indicators and charts, and specific market terminology) which will really not make any sense unless you’re already participating in and someone knowledgeable regarding the market. I don’t know that there’s a way around that, but it makes this a difficult recommendation to someone new to day trading. Personally, I found the perspective here helpful. I just would have been very confused at a few points if I wasn’t already immersed in trading. So for me it’s a good overview and jumping off point for learning and gaining more experience.

Doesn't really teach how to trade

Average intro book on markets. Just provides info on different types of markets. Doesn't go in depth.

Absolutely a great book

I learned a great deal from this book and plan to go through it a couple more times so it becomes second nature. I am very lucky that there people doing the kinds of things that make it possible for people like me to learn about such a valuable skill. Thank you

outdated

the book itself is ok, although I was interested in info about cryptocurrency, the author talks about how much money was lost when crypto dropped from 20k to 2k, bet he wishes he bought it at 2k, I feel that the book is directed at people that are a little scared to take a risk, there was some useful information,

A gentle introduction to all trading types

Goes over the basics for total beginners. Would have rated higher if more information-dense and without the inaccuracies when discussing cryptocurrencies. The latter is forgivable as crypto is quite a field in itself.

Regretted buying this at first...

...but was very glad I preserved. Shame I did not listen to it before buying Rivian stock, it was FOMO and also listening to the crowd. other thing is that, Bitcoin turned out to be OK for those guys who pooled their funds if they stick with it so would be good to hear what the author says about it now.
