The narration is terrible - how has no one noted this?

I was really looking forward to this audiobook based on the reviews; however, I could not get into the book whatsoever because the narration is so brutal to listen to. Truly, truly terrible. It’s the most sterile sounding narration one could ever imagine. The content is interesting, but again, I was so distracted by the lifeless narration that I found myself half-listening. Quite upset about wasting a valuable credit on this.

Not as expected

I couldn’t get through any of it. It was a medical breakdown and explanation of self confidence. I jumped to some other chapters and it was more of the same. Logically breaking it down for someone to understand how the brain works with confidence.

What a Great Book

I just wanted to say that this book was and is one of the better self help books for people who are struggling with confidence, empathy and anxiety (imo). During my time reading I've recommended this book and gifted it to so many of my friends. The narrator is a little bland but I didn't struggle to stay focused like other self help books I've listed to. Thank you to the author.

Sort of like listening to someone reading a list for 2 hours

I get the feeling that this author had some sort of social media contest dependant on people leaving this book a 5 star review. I'm sure there is great content but the way it's presented is frankly boring... No personal stories or connection to the reader. It was a bit like listening to a textbook.
this book had valuable information but not presented all that well for my preference.

smart book !

Much of what is found within this book might be considered common sense- but it is common sense that often gets ignored. Each chapter of the book presents a topic regarding self-confidence, then breaks it down into how things could have gotten bad and how to fix them. The most useful aspect for me were the baby steps that can be taken to show real progress in building self-confidence. While there is no overarching plan of action, there are certain actions that can be taken immediately after listening each chapter to take a step in the right direction.

interesting guide

I enjoyed the non-clinical approach and the discussion around how to use tools (like CBT - cognitive behavioral therapy and even keeping a journal) to achieve a state of emotional and mental well-being. A good listen with some useful tips and information.this is great book

perfect book

This is a perfect book that helped me understand the importance of building my self-esteem. I have issues in this area and this book really helped me to understand why building my confidence is so important. The book also gave me practical ways to do this. I have bookmarked some areas that I will revisit in the book soon! I recommend this book to anyone who has trouble in this area and is in need of a great self-help book.

I enjoy listening this book! To the point, simple but powerful!!! Self-Confidence is not just a book that tells you about how to more confidence but a book that shows you step by step what having self-confidence can do for you, where it come from and how to keep it in my life. We are out on worst critic it is time to leave that! I highly recommend this book to start to know how to develop your self-confidence.

Brilliant self-esteem booster!

Absolutely must listen book for everyone, who is struggling with the lack of self-esteem. The author is right on emphasizing the low self-esteem as one of the fundamental prerequisites for the individual success and confidence in the various social settings. The book outlines helpful strategies to cope with excessive self-criticism and provides efficient methods of reaching one's true potential.

Boring, clinical,unhelpful

I seriously do not understand how this book ended up with such a good overall rating score. It's very clinically written, no good examples, not easy to understand and the guy reading it sounds like a broken computer, often repeating words and putting in pauses wherever he finds suitable, bought the book based on reviews, now regretting it.
