Emotional and heart breaking

this book is an erotic historical romance.

Duke of Margrave Stuart is not ready to settle down, but he is on the verge of having no money soon unless he can get rid of a few relatives that are nothing more than taking everything. But when the American heiress gives him an offer with no string attach of course he jumps at the chance to leave everything behind and continue as he was. Until an accident and he being to realize that there is more waiting for him. So he wants to have a real family, but his wife wants nothing to do with it and after he finds out why, he might have to let go of his dream to have an unconditional love with his wife.

American heiress Edie is running from something and the only way to get out of this is to marry someone who is never around. When she finds Stuart, who would rather live a life in Africa than be tied down. She has the means to help him financially and no inclination to be with any man. It is perfect and it was going great for 5 years, but now her husband wants to be a husband and break the agreement to never see each other.

A step up from describing someone breathing

I got 2/3 of the way through, but seriously, it dragged and dragged. I gave up.

Uh...no. Narrator was all wrong.

Ms. Guhrke is not a favorite of mine and this book didn't change that. The narrator was all wrong for this book, making the story so verrrryyy loooooong. I skipped from chapter 5 to chapter 20. Was surprised that only two weeks had passed. Narration and dialogue can make or break a book. This is a broken book.

Don't Judge The Book By The Tittle.

Don't Judge The Book By The Tittle OR You'll be dissappointed. At first I thought this is kind of light romance about how to get rid of unsuitable man for a husband, instead I find the story so charming and sweet that involve marriage of convenient and hidden dark past. My first with the story theme, as well as the author and the narrator. So happy to find it undissappointing, and so glad to spend my credit on it.

totally tedious ericksen shrill disappointing

Characters and plot have potential but story takes 11 hours to "explain" the minute emotional steps taken toward denouement. Susan Ericksen's narration was somewhat fraught. Overall, totally disappointing.

Wonderful! Simply Wonderful!

I love anything narrated by Susan Erickson. The story line kind of started off slow but, then it gripped you to the very end.

Disappointed

Story line lacks imagination. Nothing about this book makes you feel good. Only feelings of strife and hopelessness.

Too long

I found my self skipping the last few chapters as the story was far too long and drawn out. It should have had something else in there to keep my interest.
