Story
Covert narcissists use nuanced manipulation to get what they want from others. Withholding information or giving false information is a common tactic that covert narcissists use to maintain control over a situation or bolster their own agenda. It's easy to overlook what kind of person you're dealing with because they do not show their true colours right from the start. Covert narcissists tend to be less obvious than overt narcissists who fly off the handle in anger or act out in public without thinking about consequences for others.

Almost every religion, spiritual practice, philosophy and person grapples with fear. The most repeated phrase in the Bible is “Be not afraid.” The ancient Greeks spoke of phobos, panic and terror. It is natural to feel fear, the Stoics believed, but it cannot rule you. Courage, then, is the ability to rise above fear, to do what’s right, to do what’s needed, to do what is true. And so it rests at the heart of the works of Marcus Aurelius, Aristotle, and CS Lewis, alongside temperance, justice, and wisdom.

This audio book is really awesome!
I've put the book in my cart to purchase because I've thoroughly loved it. It's not like it's a miracle. It's well-informed, down-to-earth advice. There's a reason why Stoicism has lasted so long. In today's environment of DO EVERYTHING, I find that keeping a journal allows me to take breaks. It's also important to establish limits. Now I'm eager to get my hands on the companion volume.

The most significant audio book I've ever heard
This audio book helps me reset and redefine my approach to my life's objectives and difficulties at least once a year. Stoicism is distilled down to its practical commandments in this audio book, which is made memorable by anecdotes of well-known people throughout history who have put them into practice. There is no one-size-fits-all solution to life's problems. Everyone's situation is unique. Also, anyone who claims to have your personal key is dishonest. However, if there was ever a key creator.

Your best friend, family members, yourself, or any of the above might be your emotional triggers. Much of what we do is motivated by our basic need to be liked and accepted by others. In the past, our social group's disapproval carried terrible consequences. It would almost certainly have resulted in banishment and death in the woods. We spend money we don't have on unnecessary luxuries in order to impress someone we don't care about. Rather of focusing on what is best for us, we choose a career or lifestyle based on how others view us. We are kept captive and must pay a king's ransom every day, with no promise of ever being set free.

Huge numbers of information here
There's a lot of material here, and the overall method of thinking about indifference ought to be in one book. In addition, as an apathetic, I appreciated a legitimate examination of the authors' progress. This audio book was recommended by a friend as a wonderful place to start thinking about how we see, act, and endure. He was dead on. I'm sure there are more classic audio novels out there, and if I read them first, I'll be less pleased. Regardless, it's a fantastic job. Well organized and informative
I like the author's use of historical allusions to make his arguments. Almost all of the tales are fascinating and timely. The only thing I didn't like about it was that a few of the tales he mentioned were exactly the same instances used in some of the audio books.
