Publisher's Summary

The secret to earning a six-figure income without having to work your back off.

When you think about living your dream life, what comes to mind? Does it include spending most of your waking hours in front of a computer, answering emails from your demanding boss, and only living it up on weekends? Or, does it consist of owning your own time, pursuing things you’re passionate about, and still earning more than enough to indulge in your favorite activities?

Unless you’re certifiably insane, you definitely answered the latter. Who wouldn’t want to get away from the drudgery of employee life and become the boss of their own life? This is easier said than done, though.

There’s safety and comfort in knowing you’ll receive a fixed amount of money every month, regardless of how much your employer earns. But, this also means that you won’t get paid any more than your fixed salary, and the majority of your week belongs to the company. Why not explore something different, something that gets you closer to achieving the life of your dreams? Like starting your own business.

One of the most ideal businesses for those who are just starting out is Airbnb hosting. If you have a property investment, a vacant room, or even just an extra bedspace, you can become an Airbnb host.

In fact, more than four million people are currently doing it, and Airbnb says it will need millions more in the coming years. As the world opens up again, and demand for travel picks up, it’s the perfect time to jump into this industry. With insider knowledge from a successful long-time Airbnb host, you can skip over the trial and error, and go directly into doing what works.

In How to Start a Successful Airbnb Business, you will discover:

  • A detailed walkthrough of the fundamentals of running an Airbnb business - from conducting market research to being the ideal host
  • How to set up your business legally and choose the right type of business structure for your specific needs
  • The winning formula to hosting successful listings that will keep the clients coming
  • How you can have more control over who rents out your property - for your own safety and your property’s - using this special Airbnb feature
  • An honest look at the perks and the downsides of being an Airbnb host, so you know exactly what you’re getting into
  • Additional money-making options from Airbnb - how you can boost your income without having to buy more property
  • How you can remove yourself from your day-to-day business operations and still enjoy the benefits and reap the profits

And, much more.

In any business, there’s no such thing as a risk-free venture. The nature of business itself involves taking calculated risks to gain a desired reward. And, what could be more desirable than being able to quit your nine-to-five, have control of your own time, and earn more than you did at your day job?

Your dream lifestyle awaits; you just need to take the leap.

If you want to leave your old life behind and start living your best life with your very own business, then scroll up, and click the “buy now” button right now.

1.4x speed is a MUST

Narrator left a lot to be desired. Would have returned the book if 1.4x speed was not tolerable. Content seemed lacking. About 5% of the book is not covered by just logging into Airbnb and hitting "start a listing" felt like an overly lengthy version of a Windows Install Wizard. wishing any bit of depth was covered on pricing strategy. "use dynamic pricing" doesn't convert anything. Could be useful if you just want background noise to fall asleep.

I don’t even know if the author owns an Airbnb.

This is unbelievably basic. It goes on and on about things that people would dream about or think about before ever owning an Airbnb. I strongly suspect that the authors never actually owned an Airbnb.

Fundamental and Basic

As described, this is a very basic intro. to the subject and common sense. Little depth but ok for those having never thought through the idea of what a business is or never booked a short term rental. On topics such as different business structures (LLP, LLC, S Corp. etc). the content was so basic as to have me wondering why it was included.
I found myself counting the times sentences began or contained the words “however”, “as such”, “thus”, to the point of recognizing they sounded like fillers to meet a word count requirement in an essay.
Very slow pace of narration had me bumping up the playback speed.
If you are someone who has looked into or read much about business common sense, customer service or for that matter, booked a short term rental, you might move on to some other title.
However, if you are a true beginner, then as such, you may find this book helpful and thus, find value in the listen of said book.

Very eye opening!

Covers all of the aspects of the business for a beginner. Conveys that there is much to consider and how to get started. I found it to be very informative yet still have questions that will have to be answered somehow. The business is more work than it seems.

Don’t expect much

Don’t expect much. This is a very basic book for someone with no knowledge of Airbnb or short term rental investment. The contents of this book could be summed up in a few google searches, common sense or a couple YouTube videos.

Great Book with tons of info

While there are tons of books on how to set up your short term rental… This one is the most modern, updated, information packed book I’ve read. Lots of tips and tricks for those getting into the short term rental market. Definitely glad I read this one, and will be going back to it for reminders later in my STR journey

Generic & missing examples

This book is a punch list that in the surface seem to make sense. I was craving more examples from their experience.

Walter and Richard skimmed the surface on everything about Airbnb but lacked serious depth on specific concepts. There are 29 chapters ranging between 5-15 min each. A lot of I formation but not a lot of depth.

Starting out in the UK and found this super useful

I wasn’t sure what to expect being a US focused read. However it applies across countries and I found the contents interesting, helpful and comforting for a first venture into Airbnb

Well-written

A very solid primer on running your own airbnb. No stone left unturned. That is the main take away that I took away from this book. Really excited to apply what I’ve learned here
