A review on general behavioral patterns

This book reviews a bunch of general behavioral patterns that hold people back in their relationships and personal wellness. The behavioral patterns mentioned range from being a people pleaser to someone who always blames others. The book also mentions exercises in self- awareness and ways to fix unhealthy problems. The author is understanding, seeks ways we connect to others, and emphasizes the importance of forgiveness and realizing we are only human. I think this is a good general self-help book for starters because it talks about a variety of unhealthy behavioral patterns instead of specializing in one topic like what some other books do. This is good for beginning to explore the issues holding you back from experiencing your best feeling of wellness if you don't already know yourself.

Bat Sh*t Cray No More!

Love, love, love this book! I felt like Andrea was having a private one on one coaching session with me as she hit on absolutely every emotion I️ have been feeling. Every word she spoke was relevant in this crazy world we are trying our best to live in. This is definitely a book I️ will listen to over and over again, and continue to grow from each listen! Life Changing

This book is exactly what I needed at this point in my life. I love how Andrea brings to light the REAL LIFE struggles us women face on a daily basis and let’s us know we’re not alone. Her straight forward language is perfect for driving her message home in a way that makes an impact and forces your head out of the sand. I recommend this book to any woman who feels stuck in a rut or has totally lost sight of herself. Read this book for YOU!!!

Stop using F##k to get,attention for titles.

I was willing to overlook the silly need to use f##k to make a point but the content is a rehash and not insightful. It comes down to being yourself. That's all folks. Too much about the author's me me me problems. In the book Ms Owen states."my girlfriend dropped me" what,was the point? You have no idea,why??That is hard to believe.
Where there is smoke there is,fire.
I'm sorry about her father's death but having to fly there for the last few days of his life was a sacrafise?
Really. I spent 7 years watching my husband decline in front of me from renal failure. fighting Medicare. dealing with doctors and hospitals etc.. You need to be older to write a book like this one. You are still wet behind the ears. Not much for a mature person to gain in this read.

Great listen

Would you listen to How to Stop Feeling Like Sh*t again? Why?

I would definitely listen again. It’s one of those books that will hit you in the feels again and again and get you really thinking about where to apply it in your own life.

Forgettable

I have ready quite a few self help books. This didn’t really bring anything new to the table for me. Some of the advice didn’t really apply to my life at all, other advice was pretty generic. I can’t remember anything that stood out about this book at all.

So many new realizations!

What did you love best about How to Stop Feeling Like Sh*t?

Yes! It's making me realize a lot of things I do that keep me stuck - numb'ing out, and how to have more empathy, which is important for having better relationships and friendships!

Any additional comments?

Our minds, stories we tell ourselves, how we were raised, and societal stuff can keep us stuck, or even from realizing what is possible for our lives. Andrea helps you "see" what is going on so you can begin to make changes that will help you kick some booty in life, and in an easy to understand way!

If you can get past the vocal fry narration, the book itself has some great content. Wish I would have bought the book instead.

Didn’t resonate with me...

I found I couldn’t relate to the style and much of the content. I debated bailing on it but stuck with it and was happy when I reached the end. There were a couple enlightening things for me but I just didn’t connect with most of it. I find myself wondering what attracted me to buying this one in the first place.

Just what I needed

I have been following Andrea's work since 2014 when I stumbled upon her podcast by chance. Since then I have listened to every episode, hearing her grow as a coach, a leader and an amazing woman. She has inspired so much positive change in my life and I'm so grateful for the work she does.

I came to this book at a time of personal and professional turmoil, feeling like much of what I'd built was unravelling and I didn't know what had happened. This book made me realise how many of my "old habits" has snook back in and has been so useful in beginning my journey to stop doing things that make me feel like shit!

Simply Fantastic ! the way Andrea delivers the information with lightness and humour worked SO well for me . I laughted our loud and nodded during so much of it as if I was sitting chatting to a friend . I will be listening again and again . An insightful book with lots of practical advice

I love listening to Andrea's podcasts so I decided to download this audiobook. Andrea sets everything out clearly, giving examples from her own experiences and posing questions to get you thinking about the things that are making you feel unhappy. Her honest accounts of her own struggles and mind-set shifts help to illustrate the points she makes and shows that, with conscious effort, you can learn to take responsibility for having a more balanced outlook. I was surprised by how many of these habits I do without realising and I've found the tips Andrea shares really useful. I also appreciated her honesty about there not being a quick fix magic solution to feel happier but that consistent mindful action pays dividends - something really refreshing in a time where everyone has the one thing that can fix all your problems! The PDF with the questions for each chapter was useful too and I found it really helpful to make notes and see where I was bringing myself down and shift the focus without feeling judgemental of myself.

I'm glad that Andrea narrated this audiobook herself; it's like having an honest, supportive friend telling you what you probably already know but haven't faced up to yet. A great listen!

well structured

being someone who devours self help i had average expectations of this audiobook.
but i was surprised. its amazing how much i related to it.
she is spot on with all the things we do to ourselves.
i got the pep talk i really needed.
