"Just be a natural extrovert"

There are a few small kernels in here, but not worth your time to read. I don't know who this book is for, it seems to be aimed at someone who is extremely intelligent and observant, capable of reading their own and others body language, and yet has never communicated with a human in their life. The Author is obviously very extroverted naturally, and lacks a conceptual understanding of how different brains vary in perception.

Good read

As a neurodivergent individual person I find myself struggling with right things to say in social interactions. I appreciate listening to literature like this for that reason. I would’ve liked to have added more information on how to respond during rejection on some of the advice given.

Very impactful

The pace of this Audio book is spot on. It also covers enough examples as well as fundamentals to have you wanting to talk to more people immediately, this coming from the ultimate introvert is a large statement and this books really backs it up.

It’s definitely worth the read and with enough practice you’ll have the basics of conversation locked in and ready to go.

Not my favorite.

I did not finish the book because I returned it after the first 30 minutes or so. I think this book has a good message overall, but for me and what I was looking for, this book was too basic as if teaching someone to converse for the first time. I was looking for a book to help me learn to express myself better and speak my feelings instead of keeping them inside, which I did not get out of this book.

So happy that I got this book

The course is jam-packed with useful tales that assist to bring the topic to life. I particularly appreciated the relaxed lecture approach and case examples. Ian Tuhovsky, the host, is clearly enthusiastic about the subject and possesses a lot of hard-won knowledge and expertise.

Useful and interesting guide

This is the third time I've listened to this book. I learn something fresh and intriguing every time I listen to it. It's jam-packed with so much information that just skimming it isn't enough.

Outstanding

This book is amazing in what it does. Not only does it cover in depth areas of conversation, but it also tells you how to engage in them. It goes over steps, elements, and pitfalls to understand in order to have meaning interactions with anyone. I felt like I got more out of this book over others, due to its direct instructions unlike some books that only cover the concept of the subject. I highly recommend for anyone looking to find the "hack" to conversation skills in general.

Very poor and unrealistic tips for conversation.

Maybe it’s because I’m English but I couldn’t get to grips with this audio book. Too cheesy and unrealistic. I tried- listened twice- but no use from me I’m afraid.

Hopeless

This is a list of various techniques of how to converse. Minimal explanation, almost no examples. Am I supposed to memorise this book cover to cover? Absolutely awful! If I wanted a list, I’d have googled it and read some blogger’s attempt to monetise a Wikipedia list.

Avoid!
