Publisher's Summary

Every pastor's wife is a faithful servant and leader in her own right. She has great influence on her church, her community, her family, and her husband, and she finds joy in seeing God move in the lives of others. Yet she also faces unique challenges that too often go unnoticed and unaddressed. At times, a pastor's wife may feel she can't talk about her struggles even with those who are closest to her, which can leave her feeling alone, depleted, and misunderstood. She may settle for this way of living, but that's not God's desire for her.

Christine Hoover knows firsthand the unique struggles and opportunities afforded a pastor's wife-she's been filling that role for more than twenty years. Coming alongside as an understanding friend, she offers encouragement and guidance to the struggling pastor's wife, showing her how to make meaningful personal relationships with God, her husband, her children, her church community, and other women - relationships that will sustain her and help her thrive.

Amazing book for Women in Ministry

I love the fact that this book is for Pastors’ wives, but I believe it applies to many in ministry. Being in ministry myself since I was a young child being a PK and then pursuing ministry through college, this talks about things we go through in life as an individual, couple, and family.

I learned many things through the school of experience and others from wisdom.

Thank you for speaking about all of these wonderful subjects. It’s great for young couples with no children or small children. It is helping me with a variety range of children in different stages in life.

Wonderful, wonderful book!!

Another great book by Christine Hoover

What an encouragement this book was to me in my journey as a pastors wife. It is biblical and practical and the author speaks transparently of her own struggles. Thus book was much needed and is much appreciated. I have already shared it with my pastors wife friends and will also be using in one on one discipleship with new pastors wives.

So practical and authentic.

This was a great “read” … so practical. Christine really shares her heart and is vulnerable. Each chapter was clear and full of scripture and challenged me personally. She doesn’t mince words, she shares truth and challenges so gracefully. Highly recommend.
