GOBBER THE BELCH

DOG'S BREATH CAN ROW WITH ONE HAND AND PICK HIS NOSE WITH THE OTHER
This is another brilliant and funny adventure in the series, SEE, HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON. This was not as good as book one, but few books are. It is still a five star listen, no matter your age. SURE AS FISH EGGS ARE FISH EGGS, your kids will love this.

HICCUP FIGHTS LIKE A GRANNY WITH A BACK PROBLEM
Our hero is no great looker, fighter, or anything extraordinary, if anything he is a bit on the small side. Even though he finished book one as a hero for saving the village, BOYS ARE FICKLE, and Hiccup soon finds himself just another kid. This is funny and entertaining. I especially love his tiny, cowardly, grouchy, dragon, who is TOOTHLESS.

Fun series for all ages.

A fun adventure for all ages. My family listened to this while on a trip and the driving time just flew by. Hiccup and Toothless are defiantly the underdogs and have lots of adversity to overcome. I just love Gobber the Belch, he cracks me up. Dog Breathe, Snot Lout, Fish Legs, Warty Hog what crazy names. The narration is super funny, I like how it explains the book at odd times. I think they could have cut down on the sound in between chapters, but this one was better than the first in that respect. The narrator does an excellent job.

A LOL book!

I've had a great time listening to the How to Train Your Dragon series. I find the books funny and important to the psyche of all humans.

Hiccup is wonderful and he has many challenges to face. His leadership skills are growing and he conveys to all readers that being a hero is not about being perfect, being a hero means having compassion for others. Hiccup has plenty of hurdles but he takes these in stride by doing what he knows to be best.

LOL!

I have a 45 min commute to work everyday, and for my husband and I those 45 mins have been quite pleasant thanks to this book. We have spent that time laughing and engrossed in the book vs getting mad at the horrendous traffic we have to deal with everyday. Granted that this is a children's book but nowhere does it say adults can't enjoy it. This, just like the first, was funny and entertaining. I love the characters of Toothless, Fishlegs and Hiccup and it has been an absolute delight watching them stumble into being the heroes. I am looking forward to the time my son is old enough to read and understand this book and all the fun we will have reading it together. Cressida Cowell is a genius and David Tennant is just absolutely amazing!

My children's favorite

There are a few jokes in this series that I'm not happy to have to explain to my kids, but that's my fault for introducing the series to 6 and 3 year olds. They love all the books we have so far (books 1-5) but this is the one they request the most often. I find the story interesting and engaging enough that I have no problem listening for the fifth or sixth time!

Silly Chapter Music - Producers, please just DONT

Producers, please please please realize that really any music takes away from the imagination of the listeners! Please just let the words speak for themselves.
