Publisher's Summary

I knew I wanted her the first time I saw her. Only problem? She can’t be my mate.

I’m a son of a traitor and former Alpha, and I know it’s the legacy people see.

But I must be the Alpha of my Pack and protect them from the new threat to our world: Vampires.Valac and the others are still in the shadows, and we must find their lairs before we lose more than we already have.

Only every time the enemy attacks, Skye puts herself in jeopardy. I’m the dominant wolf, but she’s the one with the most to lose.

She’s the Pack princess. The daughter of legends.

And I know she’s not my mate.

But I want her. I need her. And now I must convince my wolf. Or break the most sacred rules of the moon goddess.

Again.

Loving the Aspen Pack

Great addition to the Aspen Pack series. Each story a continuation and introduction to a new alpha and his mate. The world building is vivid and Aiden and Kit do a fantadtic job of bringing this world to life.

The Perfect Audio Does Exist

As with all of Carrie Ann's books, I read Hunted in Darkness before listening to it. I already knew I loved the storyline and characters. I knew I'd be in for a treat, but I didn't know exactly how amazing the duo of Kit Swann and Aiden Snow would be as Skye and Chase.

Chase has had a tumultuous life, with his adult life guided by prophecies told to him and the truths he thought he knew. Skye is as loyal as they come to her friends, family, and her responsibilities. Skye and Chase are forced down paths they didn't see coming, and sometimes things aren't always as they seem. Starting as loyalty and an attraction "with benefits," Skye and Chase have to take a closer look at all the things they thought they knew about themselves, each other, and those around them.

Kit and Aiden were made for narrating Skye and Chase. I could not have come up with a better duo to bring these characters and their story to life. Hunted in Darkness is 100% one of my top audiobook narrations ever.

Alpha Finds His Mate

Holy…. What a ride! I feel in love with the Aspen Alpha in Etched in Honor, and have been waiting for this one since the moment I read the last words where Chase was under attack. I really need to go back and read the Talons and Redwoods book, but you don’t have to understand the Aspen series. First off the friendship between Cole and Chase… I am here for it. Two young alphas with their own paths learning together and helping each other adds something to the pack ties.

The fact that Skye was so special and didn’t even know it was a twist I didn’t see coming. The vampires are ramping up making the “oh shit” moments come at you fast. I have so many questions, about who was Valac talking about? What happened to Cruz? Is Cole okay? The endings of these books keep leaving me with two feelings…. A warm, happy feeling for the main characters, and confusion and questions about the next book.

Aiden Snow and Kit Swann are prefect this book and really brought the characters to life.

Enjoy the ride

I really enjoyed Chase and Skye's story, however, I now have even more questions. Ms Ryan knows how to draw out the suspense on who the bad guy is and why. She did this in the Redwoods and she's doing it again here. I still wonder is the bad guys are related somehow, but one was a demon and the other is a vampire so doubtful.

All I can say is read the book, read the series and enjoy the ride with the rest of us. I can't wait for the next book.

Aiden Snow and Kit Swann do such a great job with the shifters. It's like they were born to narrate them.

Action packed

The second book of the Aspen Pack series and it doesn't disappoint. Chase, alpha of the Aspen pack, is determined to keep his pack safe from the vampires that continue to rein terror down on them. He wants to prove to his pack that he is nothing like his father and he will do everything to protect them.

Skye, princess of the Redwood pack, doesn't know where she fits in within her pack. Always going where is needed, she constantly puts herself in harms way to protect Chase. Spending so much time together, Skye and Chase give into their attraction towards one another, knowing they will never be mates...or will they?

Actioned packed! Great narration by Aiden Snow and Kit Swann.

No one does an Alpha like Aiden Snow♥️

No one does a growly Alpha like AidenSnow. Absolutely love when he narrates.
There was so much happening with the Pack, the Vamps, Chase and Skye. I love a strong female and that is what Skye is. The suspense of what is brewing is so thrilling. Everything about this was pure perfection. I cannot wait to continue with these stories to find out what and who is behind it all. Did i say this story was amazing? OMG totally amazing.

Amazing Read

I absolutely loved reading Chase and Skye's story. The way it just grabbed me from page 1 and never let go. Carrie Ann Ryan has done it again with this one. I loved the plot and story line and characters and cant wait to read this again and again.

I love how the narrators did with this story. Aiden Snow and Kitt Swan did such an amazing job with the narration that I could listen to the story over and over again and Carrie Ann keeps her readers engaged from start to finish.

Steamy and captivating listen!

I recently had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook of Hunted in Darkness by Carrie Ann Ryan. This is the second book in the Aspen Pack series and I was so excited to dive in. I am loving this series so much. Narrated by Aiden Snow and Kit Swann, they bring Chase and Skye’s story to life. They each carry the weight of the world. Chase is an alpha trying to be what his pack needs after everything they have been through. He is strong and determined, even as he questions himself at every turn. Skye comes from a very important family and is trying to find her place. Together they shared some crazy chemistry and I loved how they stood for each other. There was so much going on around them and against them, but they were amazing together. It took them a bit to see what we could see all along. I loved their journey!

Happy listening!

Fated mates are not as easy to find anymore

When you dive into the paranormal world of shifters you are often met with the concept of fated mates. But when the world has been broken and shifted under these packs, the mating bonds may have changed again. This story of Chase and Skye as they work together to fight this new threat to their packs and work to bridge the gaps and build up their broken worlds they are also fighting some feelings too.
I loved how Carrie Ann Ryan bridges the gap of the shifter world with the need for touch and the human world with uncertainty of love, without the surety of a fated mate pull.
Getting to watch Chase as he stands his ground and finds his footing as an Alpha after so much has happened was something special on its own.
It is really no surprise to me that these two amazing narrators (Aiden Snow and Kit Swann) have brought this story to life in such a fantatic way. Their ability to bring these characters to life with full emotion was a wonderous experience.

Fantastic

Book 2 in Aspen Pack series by Carrie Ann Ryan.
Chase in the son of the tyrant previous alpha that destroyed the pack and ruin many life’s.
Chase eventually become Alpha of a broken pack and he himself believing he was broken.
Skye is a famous Jameson but doesn’t hold any special powers other then she not found her calling in her pack so becomes solider for the Aspens.
I love the weird relationship Skye and Chase have. They are very much attracted to each other but there wolfs aren’t speaking to them properly and saying there mates.
Absolutely love Carrie Ann Ryan and all her book but Jameson Redwood Pack is how I started with her definitely recommend any genre by her.
As always Carrie Ann Ryan always gets the best narrators and Aiden Snow and Kit Swann do amazing job bringing this fantastic book to life.

I loved Chase’s and Skye’s story 💕

Chase is a broken Alpha, with a pack that seems to attract the evil forces. The vampires are attacking again. The romance between bot MCs is sizzling but they are not fated mates? It’s a fight against unknown forces who think Chase is weak but they are in for a big surprise. Skye is everything in this plot, she is pack Princess but doesn’t feel she fit in any roll. They are all in for that surprise I mentioned. I had a great time listening to their journey and I am so eager for the next book. The narrators are awesome, as they bring to life Chase and Skye and all the other beloved characters.

Wow

Carrie Ann Ryan how do you keep doing this to me? I couldn’t listen to this fast enough, the suspense that this book created was so very enjoyable.

The characters were well written and enjoyable, the way the book progressed had me doubting this so much but then the ending happened and oh it was so worth every second. I loved this so much

this book ripped my heart out, and I loved it

Because while we love the two main characters - they're not fated mates. They can have fun and scratch that itch and even love each other....but they're not fated mates. What did you do to me Carrie Ann Ryan? I was crying thinking they either ended a third or to find the ones for them...then they did and I'm sorry I misjudged you. Loved this book, the second in this series and I love seeing a glimpse of how the other generation has been and how the packs are now. Loved it
