"It is about being with the people we love. A feeling of home. A feeling that we are safe."

As high achievers, we’ve been conditioned to believe that the path to success is paved with relentless work. That if we want to overachieve, we have to overexert, overthink, and overdo. That if we aren’t perpetually exhausted, we’re not doing enough. But lately, working hard is more exhausting than ever. And the more depleted we get, the more effort it takes to make progress. Stuck in an endless loop of “Zoom, eat, sleep, repeat”, we’re often working twice as hard to achieve half as much.

much better
This book is much better than the previous hygge book that I read last month.
I felt a genuine sense of happiness and coziness as I listen through this, curled up on my sofa with plenty of cushions and a mug of tea by my side. I tried to space out my reading and savor the book, but unfortunately, I was far too involved to do so!

Bad Translation, Repetitive
Struggled to finish. Astonished that the voice actor could read without constantly stopping to laugh. Frequently, the translator missed the mark, and it required effort for me to figure out what was meant. The writing was also repetitious, either due to bad writing originally or due to a lack of nuance in translation.

All along I thought this hygge is just a sort of travel agencies advertisement. One day met a danish girl in the office, out of my curiosity I asked her so much about her country. She mention about hygge with my eagerness I told her if I could visit there place and experienced hygge with them, good thing she agreed. Thanks to this audible.

This "Little Book of Hygge", written by the CEO of the Happiness Research Institute in Copenhagen, sets out to explore the Danish phenomenon 'hygge': What it is and how you can achieve it. It's always fascinating to read about your own people, but to me this petite book was even more fascinating because it explores something that I consider a constant and a necessity in my everyday life

Seems to just repeat itself over and over
Can you say the same thing in a slightly different way for 3 and a half hours? If you can then you probably wrote this book. Also the irony of being told by a yank about Scandinavian living is not lost on me. Oh! and let's not forget how wet, cold and dark it is in Denmark (as I travel through the Danish countryside on a beautiful summers day with barely a cloud in sky). Only gets 2 stars because its about Danish culture and I love Denmark.
