This book has all the makings of being a good book!

interesting world, intriguing side characters, and even an understandable and relatable driver for the main character!

The problem?

The main character is an unlikable, unintelligent, and moronic main character.

Who never asks any questions unless it’s to bemoan his fate!

He has zero compunctions about wondering about the results of his actions. He stumbles his way through life picking answers at random.

If this story was humorous than all would be forgiven. But it’s not and instead you’re just left listening to a loser and an idiot with a victim complex

This book is like listening to 12 hours of John Redcorn.

bad narration on male voice actor

male narrator's voice blends so bad that I had to write a review. I can't tell when the mc is talking, or if the other male characters are. his pacing is just horrid no pauses on periods, or breaks. sounded like he was trying to make a 15 hour book into the 12 it is.

When writing litrpg, if you are going to inflict multiple instances of the same notification on the listener expect to get it quoted back at you in the reviews. Seriously, nobody wants to hear this.

Maybe write it as: 10 instances of Talent Proficiency Increased by 10 for a total increase of 100.

If you need a reason for the notification change just have him change his notification settings. Oh and one more thing.

So bad, I returned it.

The idea behind the book is interesting. But the audio performance was so bad I couldn't listen to it all the way through. The narrator was robotic and monotone to the point where I would zone out. The voice acting often didn't match the character's expression as described by the passage. The humor was actually offputting and at a couple points came off as mildly sexist towards the female characters. All in all.... this was a waste of a really cool idea that fell so flat I got a refund.

childish and cringey

the voices were kind of annoying out creepy at times, more punch in the face vs boo. the jokes were childish and annoyingly immature. plus the plot was flimsy

stick with it,probably a foreign translation

I get the feeling mr dojo is Russian or something and has translated his work. His writings definitely come off with a Russian translation vibe. at any rate, it starts off jarring and confusing, then grows on you. it's pretty good word building and unique enough. if you like a story were the protagonist gets lucky, and then struggles very little but is a good romp, this book is the ticket.

takes a few hours to actually get good

ok so my initial review was super harsh and I stand by it the first few hours of this book suck and arent funny and the Mc sucks now after 3-4 hours the story gets better and the humour starts to hit the Mc is still pretty bad and an idiot but the rest of the elements make it up for it i so for anyone like me who struggles at the start of this grit your teeth and bear it it gets funny later
