The self hypnosis is awesome!

I use the self hypnosis part of this audio book often. I have had great success with other Paul Mckenna books and audios. I highly recommend his books to anyone who is willing to make a difference in their own life. His voice is well suited for the hypnosis chapter of this book.

Good not great!

In the beginning this book worked really well. I could feel a drastic change in behavior. When going under trance I could feel an amazing feelings and some goosebumps when going through the "Powerfully Confident and Comfortable in yourself" exercise. I would see myself a lot more confident and being more open and talking to people I didn't know, complimenting people on the streets and being more talkative and outgoing in general. After a month or so it started wearing out for me and it would no longer make any effect. I feel like I got back to where I was before starting it or even more closed and unfriendly now. Not sure what's happening but I am looking for another option here. Anyway, I didn't work for me long term even doing this every single day for the past two months.

A word of caution

What would have made I Can Make You Confident better?

Hi Guys, I see lot of guys have given good ratings and so I thought I should use this.
Unfortunately though, my brain freaked out once I listened to the brain programming part. There was adverse reaction and I developed strong stranger anxiety and could not talk to any people. I would, therefore, advise a word of caution.

It really works

I could feel some difference in me next after listening to this audiobook(2nd chapter), I started behaving more confident than I was. It made me buy some more from Paul's library..

A great help!

I found this book in the morning of my exam and it really changed my performance (I’m a pianist); I felt extremely good and yes much more confident than usual, my teachers were really surprised, they said afterwards that it was a very strong exam and I looked very confident and assertive. I received a very high grade. I also continued listening while preparing for my competition the week after and again, I never felt so good on the competition. For the first time it felt like a game and not like a threat to be there performing on stage in front of juries. I totally recommend this book, it’s a treasure.

Discovered Paul on youtube and can't get enough of his training and amazing techniques...so easy to grasp and apply.

The Cure For Insomnia

I Can Make You Confident is riding the mass self-improvement wave, and it's even doing a hang-ten; Paul McKenna teaches the listener about repetition (briefly) before delving into a long-winded hypnosis session in order to improve one's confidence (supposedly). I have no idea what happens after that, however, because it put me to sleep every time I tried to listen to it.

As a sufferer of insomnia, I almost can't thank Paul McKenna enough. This book would have surpassed its mark if it were titled, "I Can Bore You To Sleep", but on the contrary I seemed to have lost at least two points in the confidence department, as well as my confidence in this hypnosis program.

It won't make you confident, but with Audible's liberal return policy, there's nothing really to lose.

only thing I'd say is some meditations should be in stereo speakers

I love Paul Mckennas work and previously

I love Paul Mckennas work and previously have used his 'I can make you Confident book and cd' which changed my life! But I've had to mark this version down due to the hypnosis tracks not being in stereo like the cd. Some parts of the recording are meant to be heard separately in the left and right ear. Quality of the Paul works shouldn't be changed just because it's on audible... I hope this gets fixed in future. For the time being anybody wanting this, I would suggest buying the original book and cd.

Hypnosis doesn’t work - mono not stereo

Don’t bother buying this through Audible, you can listen to the hypnosis for free on YouTube and it’s the ‘proper’ version, that pumps one track into your left ear and one into the right ear. The version of the hypnosis on Audible is, well, inaudible because it’s mono so you hear both the left ear and right ear track together in both ears. There’s an audio of the written book as well which is interesting but it’s the hypnosis that will really make a difference.

Surprisingly impressed as sceptical about hypnosis

Would you consider the audio edition of I Can Make You Confident to be better than the print version?

I think ideally you would need some sort of print edition too. Rather disappointingly, the audio directs you to a pdf download that doesn't exist. This means you miss out on some of the directed exercises. Saying that, it is the only negative comment I have about this audio book.

What did you like best about this story?

It really does seem to work. I was highly sceptical about it, but I drift off to this each night & I am definitely seeing the benefit from it. I am someone who suffers from anxiety & this audio is really helping me overcome it. It also helps with my insomnia (no offence to Paul), as it helps me relax each night enough to drift off to sleep.

Have you listened to any of Paul McKenna’s other performances? How does this one compare?

This is my first Paul McKenna audio - though I don't think it will be my last!

Any additional comments?

Definitely worth giving this a shot, even if you really don't think hypnosis is 'your thing'. There is a lot of good advice in there. If you don't like it, at least Audible offer a money back guarantee - so what's stopping you?

Brilliant as always

This book genuinely saved my life

Never though I would say this about a self help book, as I usually regard them as a load of old tosh, but downloaded this as a daily deal, and on a day I was very down listened to this, and it saved me! no more to can be said

The best hypnosis audio you can listen to!

Where does I Can Make You Confident rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It is the best audio book on self help I have ever listened to so far.

What did you like best about this story?

It actually works! Listen to the hypnosis session regularly (preferably when going to sleep)

What about Paul McKenna’s performance did you like?

Paul McKenna is an absolute genius. I bought my first book with audio CD by Paul three years ago and I must say it has been the best purchase of my life. Using the audio fairly regularly definitely helped me change my thinking and behaviour. You will need to be motivated, use it regularly and practice the exercise. I believe that for better results you can listen to the audio when you sleep. While you sleep your unconscious mind is still active and listening to Paul's suggestions. This is not a proven fact by scientists, it just works for me. try it, maybe it will work for you too.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone serious about it. The audio quality is perfect. Paul's voice is so relaxing and strong at the same time. I can't think of any reasons why someone would give it a bad review.

having listened to this in conjunction with other theoretical neuroscience books. McKenna is providing practical exercises to implement the scientist's advice. Positively life changing.

Really helpful! Really worked for me!

Paul's book is inspiring, helpful and spot on. The technics are really easy to follow and they actually work. Of course you have to do the hard work and practice a bit everyday. It is not miracle is practice. As Pauls says in this book "what you practice you become". If you need reassuring and someone to guide you through your own thoughts this is the book for you. I love it.

It really DOES work if done CONSISTENTLY❣️

I bought this as I (like many other’s) often need a confidence boost. Many of us have perhaps, grown up in situations that we feel may have negated our confidence and we may have tried many ways to try and restore it - to no avail❣️

Hypnotherapy, goes below the surface to help change those negative patterns and feelings. So, as I said, if you look for the positive and listen to these hypnosis trainings, I believe your life will change.
