April Clarke-Cliveden was the first person Hannah Jones met at Oxford. Vivacious, bright, occasionally vicious, and the ultimate It girl, she quickly pulled Hannah into her dazzling orbit. Together, they developed a group of devoted and inseparable friends—Will, Hugh, Ryan, and Emily—during their first term. By the end of the year, April was dead. Story
Bestselling mystery writer Lucy Harper's talent for invention has given her fame, fortune, and an army of adoring readers. It has also saddled her with dependents, namely her fawning husband Dan. When Dan suddenly goes missing, his disappearance evokes dark memories that take Lucy back more than thirty years—to the day her brother vanished without a trace. That's when Lucy began conjuring stories. The police investigation revealed few confirmed details, so she created tales to fill in the gaps, to explain what happened that day her brother disappeared—and Lucy was the only witness.

The white-washed Italian villa is perfect. I thought it might feel odd, living in a stranger’s house for the summer, but as my husband and children swim in the infinity pool, I start to relax. And then, in the back of a wardrobe, I find something that shatters everything.... Sparkling green eyes, square jaw, lopsided smile. A young man with his arm around a beautiful woman. The picture is old and faded, but I’d recognize him anywhere. The man is my husband.

The day my path crossed with Simon Fox I thought I’d already lost everything, but then he almost ran me off the road with his flash car and belittling jibes. The men in my life had undermined me for too long. Enough was enough. Fuelled by alcohol and the desire to get even, I decided a spot of petty vandalism would make me feel a whole lot better. Wrong. Very wrong. I hadn’t realised that Simon Fox was not a man to be messed with.

She’d only recently moved back to her childhood hometown, not even getting a chance to reacquaint herself with the neighbors. How could she possibly be a murder suspect? It's 1949. When war veteran Aloysius Archer is released from Carderock Prison, he is sent to Poca City on parole with a short list of dos and a much longer list of don'ts: do report regularly to his parole officer, don't go to bars, certainly don't drink alcohol, do get a job - and don't ever associate with loose women. The small town quickly proves more complicated and dangerous than Archer's years serving in the war or his time in jail.

Alicia Berenson’s life is seemingly perfect. A famous painter married to an in-demand fashion photographer, she lives in a grand house with big windows overlooking a park in one of London’s most desirable areas. One evening, her husband, Gabriel, returns home late from a fashion shoot, and Alicia shoots him five times in the face and then never speaks another word. Publisher's Summary
From New York Times best-selling author Gilly Macmillan comes this original, chilling, and twisty mystery about two shocking murder cases 20 years apart and the threads that bind them.
Twenty years ago, 11-year-olds Charlie Paige and Scott Ashby were murdered in the city of Bristol, their bodies dumped near a dog racing track. A man was convicted of the brutal crime, but decades later, questions still linger.
For his whole life, filmmaker Cody Swift has been haunted by the deaths of his childhood best friends. The loose ends of the police investigation consume him so much that he decides to return to Bristol in search of answers. Hoping to uncover new evidence and to encourage those who may be keeping long-buried secrets to speak up, Cody starts a podcast to record his findings. But there are many people who don’t want the case - along with old wounds - reopened so many years after the tragedy, especially Charlie’s mother, Jess, who decides to take matters into her own hands.
When a long-dead body is found in the same location the boys were left decades before, the disturbing discovery launches another murder investigation. Now detective John Fletcher, the investigator on the original case, must reopen his dusty files and decide if the two murders are linked. With his career at risk, the clock is ticking, and lives are in jeopardy....

Some things need a warning label...
This book wasn’t horrible, some aspects were really great. I love Imogen church as a narrator, she’s spectacular. The Steve’s were also good, in some segments, a bit monotone, but overall def better then most. Gilly Macmillan is a very talent writer and the whole book is written impeccably. The story itself, for me, was a bit bland ... i don’t know if it was bc I personally couldn’t connect with the characters or whether i was just expecting something more gripping but in the end it just didn’t wow me.
One aspect of this book did really upset me tho... my go to genre is crime, suspense, murder books of all ranges and fully expect and am ok with the graphic details and the hard to hear gruesome scenes that come with them. However. I am dog lover through and through and (I feel the same way about movies) i can’t deal with a graphic dog death ... and in this book there is a graphic puppy killing scene .... I’ve never actually written an audible review before, but if there’s anyone out there that shares my “killing dogs in detail is not cool” vibe then this book is not for you! Love the author and narrators but the dog violence is the one thing I can’t do and I wish someone had warned me! I hope this review saves other like minded people!

Enjoyed story and narration
The story picked up the pace after a bit of a slow start and was a page turner after that. I enjoy audible books narrated by British authors and am a big fan of Imogen Church. There are twists and turns that I found unexpected. There are flips between past and present without notice so it was a little hard to track the timeline at times. **Trigger earnings for abuse of an individual with a mental health disability and animal abuse**. These are two situations that I have a hard time with but it was not overly done. Just a comment for those that might like to know.

Finally! An Unpredictable Thriller!
I Know You Know has an advantage over other book formats in this instance because it involves a podcast. How better to incorporate a podcast into a book better than in an audiobook? This format lends itself beautifully here. Gilly Macmillan has not disappointed me yet and more than anything, I'm tired of being disappointed by so called thrillers that I either figure out in advance or can't seem to adequately suspend disbelief in order that I might enjoy it to the end. This one surprised me-yes! Yes it contains the requisite plot twist! Imogen Church's melliflulous diction coupled with a subtle unfolding was just the intellectual treat I've been craving. Loved this so much. If there was any reason that I didn't give it solid 5 stars was the Story had a lot of characters who did not seem relevant in the final analysis to the point where (I thought) it muddled the ending somewhat. This could also admittedly be the result of my intermittant fadings out and not having the privilege of long periods of listens. Searching for a thriller that doesn't involve unneccessary graphics and and terrible mind permeating images? A story that gently unfolds, subtly and deliberately but isn't painfully long and drawn out? You won't be disappointed. It was satisfying on so many levels.
