Love that says something, instead of just looking like it. Love you can always trust to feel like home. For both of them, it’s something that has always been just outside of their peripheral, something to be observed rather than experienced. A depth of feeling reserved for people who were “into” that, those with a different outlook, those more...deserving. Until their paths cross.

Asha's life is no fairytale, by any stretch of the imagination. There was no kind, generous father to care for and protect her from the Vegas that exists beyond the glitz and glamour of The Strip. No wise, doting mother to look over and guide her, passing down essential lessons and leading her to the right path. And certainly, no Prince Charming just around the corner, ready to rescue her from working late nights to cover steadily mounting bills.

Story
Hailey Freeman goes to Blackwood with a specific mission - at least on the surface. When a sudden tragedy thrusts her into chaos, she expects to find herself mired in confusion, bereft, while she figures out how to pick up the pieces. Instead, she finds comfort, clarity, and - baffling - familiarity in the arms of Ellis Boyd. A stranger. A stranger who can’t help wondering if he knows Hailey somehow, met her somewhere, another time that they just can’t remember—the only explanation for their swift, consuming connection. At least, the only one that makes sense.

For Naomi Prescott, it's not just a cute little saying. It's a critical mantra, words to live by if she wants to retain her freedom, and, more importantly, her life. Impeccable planning is the only way to ensure she sets off the small flutters that will trigger the big ripple she needs to pull off the score of a lifetime - no matter the stakes. It all came down to me. The one who followed the rules, never went looking for trouble - I kept to myself. I just wanted to take care of my family. To not constantly look over my shoulder, worried about the things that went bump in the night. I just wanted to survive. But that wasn't meant to be. As luck - or fate, or something - would have it, the trouble found me. I followed a rabbit through the wreckage of a half-ruined world to get back what was mine, and wound up at the end of it. In Wonderland. But there's nothing magical about it.

Sometimes, the worst lies are the ones we tell ourselves. They build and build into a façade of transparency and false truth that we present to the world...until it comes crashing down because of that one person who sees right into you. “Just one more time.” “It’s not even like that.” “I’m not tripping about it.” “I’m fine. Publisher's Summary
Jaclyn Love is a magnet for trouble - it seems to follow her wherever she goes.
Unfortunately for Kadan Davenport, she also seems to be a magnet for him - even after a disastrous first impression that leaves him - literally - black and blue.
Jaclyn is busy trying to find some sort of balance, and Kadan is just trying not to get swept up in the chaos.
In a small city like Blakewood, it's hard to avoid each other...especially when each additional encounter makes them wonder if they really want to.
I Think I Might Love You is a first-in-series novella.

Love it.
I fell in love with the Love sisters after reading the books. I was excited to here the first book was on Audible. I love the back and forth between Jaclyn and Kadan they were funny, honest, and not afraid to be themselves. I wasn't in love with the narrator for Jaclyn I expected more excitement and personality because her character is feisty. But overall I enjoyed this. Can't wait for the next books in the series.

Good story but...
This story had so much potential, but the narrators completely ruined the experience. There was no differentiation or emotion between many of the characters, and I got completely annoyed at how both narrators kept chopping up the sentences as they read. I love Christina C. Jones’s work, but I seriously forced myself to finish this audio book. I wish I had just bought a hard copy instead.

Slayed my entire life. I can;t function...
So this was a nice surprise for me. The first read I'd tried from this author I enjoyed but was ok. This was my first romcom by her and I'm always willing to try another by an author before I write them off. The MCs Jaclyn and Kadan had a very rocky start. As fate kept putting them together, some of the most HILARIOUS situations ensued and I was floored at how much I was cracking up. I'll honest, the first few chapters started rough but once we got to know the characters, it was pure gold.
I think what i liked the most was that Kadan was light skinned but not emasculated. It wasn't a thing, he just was. I kept waiting for a light skinned man joke and it never came. That's the one thing that tends to turn me off with Black romance. Men are always super dark skinned, while the women are often racially ambigious, and some of my favorite authors are offenders of this. For some reason it's ok to make positive light skinned women but demonize or effeminize light skinned men.
Kadan was a vet AND vet. He served in the military in a medical field and couldn't work around humans so became a vet. He was also a legacy(usually I only see female legacies, so I squeed at a legacy who was kinda hood at the same time) and so hilarious. He reminded me of people I know, which made him even funnier.
Jaclyn was described as deep brown, which I feel is rare in AA,IR, MC romance. She was trying to fix her life but had a hard time at times, including getting a record(which ironically brings them back together). I do think she wasn't super feminine(which it seems like light skinned girls are allowed to be, but dark skinned women not as much) but her having locs, she was his type. Everything about her was his type.
They started out enemies to lovers/fake relationship but they became so much more. I even loved that Jaclyn adopted a cat; Im not a pet person so they tend to annoy me in romance. But she nursed "Miss Thing"(a Different World reference, shout out older millenials) back to health and she really became apart of the story XD
The villain in the story affect both the main characters in impactful ways; I'm glad Kadan was able to defend her from one of the hardest people defending her from as if I hadn't been in love with him before, I totally fell in love by then.
I WILL READ EVERY BOOK IN THIS SERIES. PLEASE MAKE THESE AUDIOBOOKS TOO, THEY WERE AMAZING!.
