Publisher's Summary

If is a powerful little word. Some people are stuck in "if only", trudging through lives marked with regret. But God wants us to live lives marked with possibilities, with the "what if" attitude that looks forward to the future with confidence. Why? Because the answer to "if God is for us, who can be against us?" is "no one." God is always on our side. Every day in every way.

With his trademark enthusiasm and contagious joy, Mark Batterson helps listeners overcome feelings of guilt, fear, and doubt because in Christ there is no condemnation. Unpacking the promises of Romans 8, he shows listeners that they are more than conquerors - right now and forever. And because of that, the possibilities for their lives are limitless. Christians from all walks of life will find themselves set free by this inspiring and entertaining listen.

More than a conqueror...

Batterson says it well and is a shining example of what It means to live as more than a conqueror. This book, along with the other 2 books of his I’ve read so far, are inspiring and encouraging, full of passion and depth of insight. He has quickly become one of my favorite Christian authors, if not my favorite, and his stories both fascinate and prompt me to get more involved in the world around me as well as seek God’s best for me. Can not recommend his books more highly- LOVE them!

I will also add that this particular book did a great job of helping me to focus more on the bigger picture and the eternal, rather than my limited view of the situations in my life. There is so much we cannot see or know or factor in, but God can, and not only is He good all the time, but He knows what he’s doing!

Awesome book and bible study, great stories!

The Gospel is clearly spelled out in the first four verses of Romans 8. The question is will we walk with the spirit long enough to develop the fruits?

Usually I think pastors should narrate their own books, but not this time.

I returned this book for narration alone. I would encourage you to listen to the sample before buying.

Encouraging, engaging

I enjoyed IF, although I found it to be kind of all over the place. Maybe IF 😆 I had read instead of listened, or IF hadn’t listened to the first 2 hours a few years ago and then picked it up and finished the rest this week, it would have felt more streamlined. But overall it felt like a jumble of stories and narrative to encourage us to trust God with our big dreams and futures. I’m in!
It was a good, encouraging listen for little snippets in the car and washing dishes.
