Publisher's Summary

Aliens are real, they happen to be gorgeous, and there’s no way I’d ever agree to be a tribute bride for them.

Now that everyone on Earth knows about the Drexians - and their need for human mates - women have been falling all over themselves to volunteer. But not me.

Oh, I’m eager to go to the holographic space station where human brides are taken for their fantasy weddings and honeymoons. But I’m there to work, not fall in love. If the captain of the ship will let me do my job.

The last thing I need is some cocky alien who questions my abilities. Even if he is a hot Drexian warrior who looks at me like I’m a snack.

Kalex may be acting captain of the new Love Boat being built on the outskirts of the galaxy, but that doesn’t mean he calls the shots. At least not when it comes to the design of the space station. That’s my job. A job he makes more difficult at every turn.

When things start to go wrong on the station, Kalex and I are forced to work together to save the station. But as tempers fly and sparks ignite, can we save the Boat and ourselves from the deadly Kronock plot?

This standalone sci-fi romance novel features steamy scenes on an alien space station, a smoking-hot Inferno Force captain who does not like to be disobeyed, and a guaranteed HEA. If you like feisty heroines, aliens with extra erogenous zones, and lots of adventure, you’ll love Ignite, the first book in Tana Stone’s sci-fi romance Inferno Force of the Drexian Warriors series.

Good book, but story seemed kinda slow.

Read the ebook, but the audiobook seemed to move along a little slow. Not sure if I have gotten used to a faster, more action packed story lately, but this story seemed to drag at certain points. I really enjoyed the ebook, but the audiobook, not so much. Will try 1 more book because I know it has more action in next story, but will have to see if it holds my interest enough to continue with the series in audiobook or not. Not to critique the narrator, but I have found that some books just don't make good audiobooks... but they are great ebooks.

but, why?

The story is ok, but it could've been right inline with the original series. I can only assume there was a contract change which is why this book kicks off a new series instead of a continuation. There is nothing new here, in fact, it seems to be a rinse and repeat of the same plots. So, more of the same which isn't necessarily a bad thing for some people. I'm just not one of those people and found it boring after listening to all the other Drexian books.

I do miss the original series narrator and wished they had pulled in the narrators from the Vandar Warriors series instead. Adam Prugh didn't have enough variation in his characters and Aubrey Vincent was similar with the exception of her non-human voices. However, I love the new duet style of narration!

Again, it is a good Tana Stone book, but it isn't breaking new ground.

Ok

I think previous stories were better, more interesting. I miss previous narrators; Serge didn’t come across as flamboyant as he did in previous books. Didn’t hold my interest as other books in series had. Fell a bit flat.

Hilarious

Every sci-fi cliche deliberately, skillfully and hilariously woven into almost a lampoon plot worthy of the 5hrs and 56mins with just enough heart to heart contact to keep the tale light and not drowning in porn.

Good job it was Kronoks and not Markus Models causing jip. The excellent narrations adding drama and tone ensured I laughed out loud through most of the book, and very good to hear new narrators in this genre; luckily I was at home to enjoy it or folk might ask me which book, and I might be a little embarrassed to own up. VERY ENTERTAINING INDEED
