Misguided

While this book had a few practical points and offered some comforting words for those going through the pain of heartbreak, I think this book ultimately completely misses the point in how to manage and recover from a breakup. This book reinforces superficial dating ideologies and will ultimately stir the reader's insecurities. Phrases such as "men love the chase" and "he found someone else" may be true on the surface but in many dating situations there is much more going on with both sides. It also encourages manipulative tactics to win an (ex) partner's approval and rationalizes it that stating you "need to play the game." No. You don't. This may help you get short term "wins" but will not help you in the long term.

Wow!!Wow!!

First off I want to say this is voice texting so there’s no punctuation so it may sound like I’m rambling on because I’m not good at texting with my hands but here goes my review,
Ladies this is by far the best instructions on how long to get over a break up even though that’s not what you want to hear but there is also information on how to get him back but also how to get through it and what’s essential what we’ve always been told by our parents about a guy. But this was by far the best book I’ve no contact that I’ve actually listen to it through the whole day in one day with my earbuds doing my housework trying to stay busy and staying focused for not texting or calling him or being on the Internet or calling his friends or going around town trying to find him I listen to this the entire day had to stop and re-charge my phone and earbuds twice and I could not wait to continue the book that I actually put my juice battery on my phone and kept my battery charging iPods charged to where I could at least hear the book through my day.

Always wondered if ignoring was right.

I used a lot of the tactics on this book, but I wasn’t sure I was doing the right thing. This book gave me the confirmation that I was doing right by ignoring, blocking and not answering calls and it explains very clearly why. Thank you for explaining the reasons why we should ignore and the importance of loving ourselves above all men. This book was a confirmation and an eye opener. I enjoyed it to the fullest!!

lame stereotypical advice

i thought this book would assist in offering coping mechanisms for a breakup. but i found the advice very cliche, narrowing all men down to cheating assholes. there are so many reasons men leave, and this book creates an idea that in your absence your man is calculating and likely putting his love/lust into another woman. i dont recommend this book to anyone dealing with an adult breakup. this book has no insight or depth.

Dreadful narration

The contest wasn’t too bad. Although my view is opposite. I can say the narration of this book is just poorly and make the book sounds cheap without context and respect.

Empowering!

Loved this audiobook! Bought it following a breakup and wish I had read it sooner. It's packed with practical advice on keeping your dignity as well as recovering from a breakup and feeling empowered in the process. It helped me cope emotionally, so much so that I kept listening to it for days and whenever I felt down. It's also beautifully narrated. Highly recommended.
