Interestingly told story-just too short
The story was beautifully written about an intelligent, innocent girl who was lied to by a devious "friend". I enjoyed the way the story took us back and forth explaining how she got where she was, how her parents met, how her mother died and how she got to the EUI. The book ended rather abruptly. I say how so as not to give it away but I wished the story had continued. I wished there had been an epilogue or something that talked about how the issue of the sex slavery is being tackled to ease my mind as a listener after hearing about this horrible practice affecting thousands of women.
The narrator was very talented and believable as Imtiyaaz. She did a great job with all the unusual words and the male characters as well.

Imtiyaaz was a young girl with ambition. She just wanted a better paying job. For three months she got more than she bargin for. This happens to many young girls I think. The performance was good however I thought the content of the book was somewhat weak.

Heartbreaking but needed!!
I only put 4 stars. But not because of the story and narration. But because it is horrible that stories like this must be told and heeded.
This is the story of 1 girl that was lured into a trap of sex trafficking. And her struggle to get out. It is short but the circumstances need to be known and taught to all young girls and boys.
Mom's and Dad's!! Teach and fight against trafficking wherever you find yourself!

So real! a great insight to how it happens
Imtiyaaz just wanted to get out of her boring town. She was naive and wanted to make a better life for herself. These are the dreams of so many young girls. Promised the world only to be trapped with no way out in human trafficking. This story gives us an inside look at how it can happen and one of the reasons why. It is a short story, but many lessons could be learned from it.
Erin Brookes did a wonderful narration. She was able to bring out how naive Imtiyaaz is. The characters came to life and it felt like I was a fly on the wall watching the story unfold. I look forward to hearing more from Ms Brookes.

Interesting tale
I received this book for free at my request but the opinion is of my own. Human Trafficking
A very short but realistic story of human trafficking and how easy it is to be fooled by promises of a better life. Left wanting more.
This was a well written story but at less than two hours long I was left wanting more. I ran out of audio before I ran out of energy whilst out exercising which was disappointing. This could easily be expanded to a full length audio-book without detriment to the storyline. The narrator did an exceptional job and was eloquent and pleasing on the ears. Overall a good story well told.

I gave it 5 stars because it is important that human trafficking is highlighted and taken seriously. There is a lot of room for improvement as to how this story it written and narrarated as I found the story hard to follow at times.
