Publisher's Summary

My life was one perfect lie. Until the Don burst in and tore it all apart.

He broke into my clinic late one night and made me his.
Nine months later, I’m on the side of the road giving birth—and who do I see stopping to help?
The mobster.
The monster.
The man who made me beg for more—and then left before I ever got his name.

He doesn’t realize who I am. Where I’m from. What I’ve done.
But I’ve got secrets that I’ll die to keep safe from him.
Starting with this:
That’s our baby in his arms.

Immaculate Deception is a secret-baby romantic suspense novel. It is book one of the Romanoff Bratva duet. Arya and Dima’s story concludes in book two, Immaculate Corruption.

SADLY DISAPPOINTING

Good Mafia and Bratva romances are my guilty pleasure and I’m the happy owner of many many good listens. So I was excited to see this new series begin.. but sadly I thought it missed its potential. I’m just going to give a very short sum up of my thoughts on this disappointing story. Absolutely no chemistry between the hero and heroine.. in fact there’s distrust and dislike. Far too much was thrown into the bullets, whoops pregnancy, roadside birth, angst-kidnapped-capture-escape.. angst-kidnapped-capture-escape unbelievable and much too busy storyline. Repetitive trust issues between the weak heroine and the dethroned NY Don. Totally unrealistic “uh?”.. or “really?”.. or “say what?.. or “what was the author thinking!!” scenes. Narration was okay though.. but also disappointed there was no sexy Russian accent.

Worth a credit? For me, sadly it’s a no.. but this is just my opinion - you may love it.

Such a struggle to finish

I have never written a review. THIS....needs a review. The female narrator is horrible. I have heard her in other audio books but hoped this one would be more tolerable. Not a chance. She slurs like she's drunk or half asleep. Mainly whines thru her lines. Speaks way too slowly. I had to speed it up just to get thru the story. She never properly relays the proper energy or emotion.
The story....I have listened to ALOT of Bratva and mafia stories. This one has soooo many issues. One is that the leader is not called a DON. He also would never be so unprotected or unorganized. Too many issues regarding the Bratva theme to mention.
The female lead is weak and just rediculous. So much was left out that it feels like the writer either has no knowledge of her storyline (woman's body after childbirth) or didn't feel like putting in the effort to make it a realistic story.
The non-stop back and forth of trust/no trust, loyalty/betrayal is just too much.
This had the makings of a great Bratva "romance" if not for all of the errors and rediculousness. The writer needs to focus on quality, not quantity.
Not sure I will waste money on this author again. I definitely will not purchase another story with this female narrator.

Ok story.

The story is ok, but not worth listening to the 2nd book. The worst for my was the male narrator. He sounded more like an old man. The female sounded like a spoiled child for me. So,...., I will not try this author again.

WHERE IS THE SECOND BOOK

I hate cliffhangers. The story is well written and has a good flow. I love the narrator's. Worth a credit.
