Publisher's Summary

In this poignant novel from million-copy bestselling author Imogen Clark, an extraordinary final wish brings five lives together forever.

Just turned eighteen, Romany is on the cusp of taking her first steps into adulthood when tragedy strikes, and she finds herself suddenly alone without her mother, Angie, the only parent she has ever known. In her final letter, Angie has charged her four closest friends with guiding Romany through her last year of school—but is there an ulterior motive to her unusual dying wish?

Each of the four guardians possesses an outlook on life that Angie wants to give her daughter as a legacy. Three of them have known each other since university: the eternally nomadic and exotically named Tiger; the shy and practical Leon with his untapped musical genius; and Maggie, a brilliant lawyer who doesn’t know her own abilities. But the fourth guardian is a mystery to the others: they’ve never even heard of former model Hope before…

As the guardians reflect on their friendship with Angie, it becomes apparent that this unusual arrangement is as much about them as it is about Romany. Navigating their grief individually and as a group, what will all five of them learn about themselves, their pasts—and the woman who’s brought them all together?

Totally Forgettable

Boring is the word that comes to mind when I consider my overall response to the book. The title 'Impossible to Forget' conjured promises of remarkable characters. I found all the main characters to be nothing more than ordinary...to the extent of being just plain boring.

Amazing Story!

A cast of best friends from college stroll through life hand in hand, arm in arm, enduring good times and bad until in death they are parted from one. The characters you will grow to love as deeply as they love each other.

Enjoyable Listen

I really loved listening to this story during my commute to work! The story line was a little predictable towards the end, but the beginning had me guessing. Great read & another good book from Imogen Clark!

So Warm and Comfortable

I believe the book starts out in the 80’s, when three college freshmen and an outside friend of one of them making four, begin relationships which wind up lasting a lifetime. So exquisite in her writing, the author so deftly paints her characters and what they are thinking and feeling. This is my second Imogen Clark read. The other was “Reluctantly Home”, which I also enjoyed. I recommend this book and also suggest that you treat yourself to the narrator who did such a bang up, fantastic job.

another knocked outta the park

Not sure if its this author or the readers but I have LOVED every book by her. I truly miss the characters when the book is over. Impossible to Forget, just about as true to life as any story could be. A reminder that life is filled with wonderful adventures, fascinating people, seemingly impossible choices, and a whole lot of love. A must read/listen.
