Terrible narration

While the male narrator was tolerable, the female narrator has a nasal voice that ruined the story for me.

Get on for a wonderful ride!

„Impulse“ is one of those books that you can't put down once you've started to read it. Once I had finished it I wanted to write my review and got caught in the book again and read it again. And again...

When I found that this book is now available on Audible, I just had to have it! I really love listening to my favorite books when I'm driving or doing household chores or whatever. At least I love it as long as those audio books are well done and the narrators are good.
I had some books that I really loved - till I listened to the audio books.

Soooooo.... I was a bit nervous when I started to listen to "Impulse" because, well, you never really know what to expect. And - I love it! It is really well done the voices are great and I enjoy listening to them and the intonation is also great. It is also easy to understand even if, like me, you are not a native speaker.
The narrators alternate, the female roles, and the story are told by the female narrator, Thurow Holmes and the male parts are read by Zachary Michael. That took a few minutes to get used to as I usually listen to books read by one narrator but then it was absolutely okay.

This book has wonderful, authentic and unique characters that are not only very natural but also incredibly loveable.

The story itself is romantic and just beautiful. Every time I feared that the author would slip into the land of cliché she surprised me with convincing and realistic twists that fit the characters and their personalities perfectly.

The protagonists took my heart by storm. Both are people with whom I'd love to get acquainted. Not just because of their good looks but because I really liked the manner in which they approach other people and because of the way they interact with those around them.

Jillian is a character who is energetic, passionate and honest straight from the bottom of her soul and on top of that she is full of wit and humor, in other words - she's just unbelievably lovable.
Lex did also convince me by his personality. In contrast to many other male protagonists in this genre, he impresses by the fact that he is neither dominant nor self-opinionated at all costs but shows much empathy and a good feeling for the right move not just when it comes to things related to Jillian but in general, with all people.

This was also a part where I was very impressed that the author managed to avoid typical clichés and instead presents us with a natural and healthy but also very passionate relationship with all its ups and downs.

Take those factors, add well characterized, equally unique minor characters and a captivating story and you get a very convincing and beautiful book. Add again some really good narrators and you get an audio book that I can also recommend wholeheartedly!

Yes. I love this story. I look forward to rest of the series.

I love how strong the heroine is. She has a lot of attitude, and she isn't a push over.

Lex Fitzgerald - I like how take charge and mysterious he is.

I have all of EB Walters romance books!

I read the story first on my Kindle, and liked it so much that when I decided to go with audible books, I bought this book. All of the male characters in this book are big, hot, hunk of a man. Unfortunately the mail narrator’s voice was too high, and even some of the characters sounded like they were gay. Not that there’s anything wrong with being gay. However, these male characters needed to have strong base voices. I’m so disappointed that book 2, the final story of Jillian and Lexes love story, has not been near rated. If it does get narrated, please get a new person to narrate it.

This audio book takes Impulse to a whole new level! The book is narrated by a man and woman with phenomenal voices. I'm simply blow away with the quality. 

Lex and Jillian are amazing! This story was so fun and exciting I could hardly contain myself! Not to mention HOT! A define must read.
Lex is a super hot, responsible business man with a wild streak who needs a temporary wife (what could go wrong there). Jillian in is a quick- witted fire cracker stunt double (how cool is that). Together they steam up the pages and will definitely make your heart beat faster. I CAN NOT wait for the rest of their story.

Great story.

This is a great story. I loved listening to it while performing other tasks. It is marvelous to get to hear a story told as this one was. I am really impressed with difference an audio track is compared to listening to a story read by a kindle. This is a really great way to listen to a story.

Hot. Steamy. And just perfect.

Would you listen to Impulse again? Why?

Yes. It's definitely one of the books I would either listen/read over and over again. The narrators made an amazing job with this and did it justice by adding so much sultriness and steaminess in their reading that I had to fan myself few times!

What other book might you compare Impulse to and why?

I don't think there is a comparison as this book is just perfect! But steaminess is on the level Of Lauren Blakely

All of them. The book is just that good.

Yes. And I wished my work hours were longer.

Absolutely love it!

Yes! Impulse is an extremely well written book, great chemistry between Lex Fitzgerald and Jillian Finnegan. Not only that the narrators did a fantastic job!

Sexy, impulsive, daring

What was one of the most memorable moments of Impulse?

A memorable scene would be when Jillian heard her brothers discussing how much money their father owed and how they wanted her to know nothing about it.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene was when Jillian was riding her motor cycle down the road doing wheelies and Lex was following her.

Alpha billionaire meets sexy daredevil!

Great book

What did you love best about Impulse?

Absolutely loved the whole storyline. The chemistry between the characters is enough to set things on fire.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved how Lex and Jillian complimented each other. Also loved how you could almost feel the characters emotions throughout the book. Also loved how the story kept me guessing at times.

Have you listened to any of Zachary Michael and Thurlow Holmes ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Never listened to either narrator before. Loved the female narrator and the male was okay. I thought he was a little too breathy. He used a bedroom voice a lot and it was hard getting used to. I loved how they used the female narrator for the female lines and the male for the male lines. Overall they did great.

The book itself is amazing! Listening to it brought it to life a little bit more. Loved it!!!
