Publisher's Summary

Your greatest regret at the end of your life will be the lions you didn't chase. You will look back longingly on risks not taken, opportunities not seized, and dreams not pursued. Stop running away from what scares you most and start chasing the God-ordained opportunities that cross your path.

In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day is inspired by one of the most obscure yet courageous acts recorded in Scripture, a blessed and audacious act that left no regrets: "Benaiah chased a lion down into a pit. Then, despite the snow and slippery ground, he caught the lion and killed it" (2 Samuel 23:20 -21). Unleash the lion chaser within!

Game Changer

This book is a great book if you think balance is over rated. It has given me the faith to do things that I would have blown off as extreme. To give an encouraging word to someone I don't know. It's a great book for comfortable people who are tried of being comfortable.

Courage to discover what my lions are.

Thank you Pastor Mark for writing this book. This book has given me a new perspective on life and my relationship with God my Father. I am challenged to pray without ceasing and to identify and chase the lions God has placed before me. I am challenged to pray God-sized, impossible prayers and expect God to answer them! I am encouraged that God will be with me and fight for me when I am in the pit with the lion on a snowy day. This is an excellent book, I strongly recommend and encourage everyone to read it. I am gifting it to several of my friends and seek to teach it in a small group at my church in Northeast Ohio in the fall.

So much rich info! will keep as a life resource

Loved the author reading this. Really engaging, some very enlightening and out of the box thinking, and challenging of Christian or religious behaviors that I loved! So much here, its a reference book for life, and geared towards those who need change, and inspiration to be a better follower of God with impact on this earth.

Ready to chase the lion

Batterson nails so many great points. One of my favorite thoughts from this audio is that having one God idea is far better than 1000 good ideas. This book is a mix of amazing scriptural principles about really facing your inner fears and listening to Gods calling for you, and a bit of personal development. He even ends by saying “Unleash the Lion chaser within” which sounds like a nod to Tony Robbins. Worth the read/listen.
