This series is addictive! I can’t stop listening!

I reviewed the first book honestly, when I was about 3/4 of the way through. Had I realized up front that this was a series, it may have changed my expectations. This book answers so many questions I had from the first book. The backstory in this book was what I was looking for in the last book. Anyway, this book is incredible and I’m already planning to buy the next. The performance is stellar, as well!

Exciting action

Elise Noble continues the exciting adventures of Emmy Black with action and suspense. This nail biting adventure is expertly narrated by Sarah Kempton and gave me new insights to the story from when I read the novel.

Amazing story!

This story was fabulous! The narrator does a great job portraying Emmy. my only complaint is that she needs work with other accents, especially American. Some pronunciation is different for the UK to the US and that was annoying at times. Luckily the story was riveting enough to keep me going.

Finally!

I have been waiting since I first read the Blackwood Series for it to come out on audiobook. I adore how strong and indestructible the women in these books are and the familial relationships that all the friends have with one another. I love this series so much, and I hope to see the entire series on here soon enough! Thank you.

Enjoyable but...

Once again, the narration on this is fabulous. The book starts where the first one ends and you expect it to either, get romantic or become thrilling but it doesent, it goes into the main characters back story, which would be ok for a chapter or two but this rattles on for nearly half the book. Eventually you get to a really good, exciting, thrilling story that does not disappoint.
It is worth reading/listening but should have been shorter.

Fast paced well researched action

My favourite bit of this book has to be Emmy's letter to her dead husband, the characters are well developed and relatable. A great mix of romance, action, suspense and humour.
