Story
Up to 40% of people consider themselves shy. You might say you're introverted or awkward, or that you're fine around friends but just can't speak up in a meeting or at a party. Maybe you're usually confident but have recently moved or started a new job, only to feel isolated and unsure. If you get nervous in social situations - meeting your partner's friends, public speaking, standing awkwardly in the elevator with your boss - you've probably been told, "Just be yourself!" But that's easier said than done - especially if you're prone to social anxiety.

Sales is a skill anyone can learn and master - and introverts are especially good at it once they learn how to leverage their natural strengths. Introverts aren't comfortable with traditional tactics like aggressively pushing a product or talking over a customer's objections. That's the beauty of The Introvert's Edge: it doesn't focus on the sale itself but on a sales system that helps introverts feel sincere instead of sales-y.

It's comforting to imagine that superstars in their fields were just born better equipped than the rest of us. When a co-worker loses 20 pounds, or a friend runs a marathon while completing a huge project at work, we assume they have more grit, more willpower, more innate talent, and above all, more motivation to see their goals through. But that's not at actually true, as popular Inc.com columnist Jeff Haden proves. "Motivation" as we know it is a myth. Motivation isn't the special sauce that we require at the beginning of any major change.

Exceptionally well thought out book!
Job Search For Introverts is an exceptionally well thought out audio book. From adjusting your current mindset, through the preparation process, all the way to effective job search strategies, this audio book has it all. The chapters are specifically geared toward introverts and incredibly detailed, containing tables and timeline suggestions to help the reader stay on track. My favorite chapter's got to be Chapter 12: Networking the Introverts Way. An introvert myself, I so appreciate all the outlined tips and suggestions within this audio book.

Any additional comments?
This audiobook is very well done, and the material in here is very helpful for anyone looking for a job, and also for anyone interviewing introverts! I was already aware of some of the material here, but even then, it's well presented and serves as a great reminder. Highly recommended to anyone on the hunt who isn't quite extroverted.

Awesome career audi for introverts!
Finally, a career audiobook that’s designed specifically for introverts! The author did a great job in presenting the challenges us introverts face and how to overcome them. I loved the simple and yet easy step-by-step approach in finding a career that’s aligned with your authentic self. I applied the lessons from the audio.
Yes. I was already interested in the topic and the book gave me more clarity in my career choice
I got clear on my long and short-term goals. I followed the instructions and went to networking events that I was hesitant to go (being an introvert that I am ) but I yet knew I needed and the author great tips on how to approach networking with a plan vs just winging it. I ended up transitioning in my career from finance to marketing. The strategies and lessons work in the audi works !!!!
The narrator was great and very clear in her speech.Nothing wrong with it.
If you’re an introvert and you're stuck in your career or struggling to get the job you want—this is a must-have audiobook for your collection!

The author leaves no stone unturned
"Introverts: Leverage Your Strengths For An Effective Job Search" is the comprehensive guide to the entire process of searching for a job, directed specifically toward introverts. The author leaves no stone unturned as she explores the specifics of the introvert psychology, invites the reader to a new depth of self-knowledge, and lays the foundation for the job search project from the mindset to the mundane (but extremely important). As an introvert listener of this excellent volume, I felt my confidence growing with each page as I better understood my strengths, and how to manage my limitations. The excellent recording quality and presentation make Gabriela Casineau's masterwork or a book shine in this audio version.

fairly helpful
I try not to have expectations going into a new genre of books, i.e. self-help. I think that I will be able to apply some of the principles, but I will need to continue searching as I doubt think that there is a single solution. I requested this book from the publisher, and received it free of charge. I have voluntarily left this review.
