One of Buzzfeed's Best Romances of 2021

A Popsugar Best Book and Best Romance of July 2021

One of Bustle's Best New Books of July 2021

With his passion for romance novels, it was only a matter of time before Vlad wrote one.

Elena Konnikova has lived her entire adult life in the shadows. As the daughter of a Russian journalist who mysteriously disappeared, she escaped danger the only way she knew how: She married her childhood friend, Vladimir, and moved to the United States, where he is a professional hockey player in Nashville.

Vlad, a.k.a. the Russian, thought he could be content with his marriage of convenience. But it’s become too difficult to continue in a one-sided relationship. He joined the Bromance Book Club to learn how to make his wife love him, but all he’s learned is that he deserves more. He’s ready to create his own sweeping romance - both on and off the page.

The bros are unwilling to let Vlad forgo true love - and this time they’re not operating solo. They join forces with Vlad’s neighbors, a group of meddling widows who call themselves the Loners. But just when things finally look promising, Elena’s past life intrudes and their happily ever after is cast into doubt.

Funny, Touching, and Sweet

This latest instalment of the Bromance Book Club series is full of heart and hilarious hijinks. Vlad, the Russian, and his mysterious wife finally face the hurts of the past so they can have a chance at a future together.

Best enjoyed if you have read previous books in the series.

The narration was good, though the Russian accents were a little iffy at times.

Another fun read

Lyssa Kay Adams is one of those authors I just trust now. She writes a fun story that keeps your attention, makes you laugh, has characters you fall in love with and overall makes you feel good. Her most recent addition to the "Bromance book club" series fills out "The Russian" more. I loved it and hope there are more stories to come in this fun series that I absolutely love and enjoy.

Wonderful!

This book grabs you from the very beginning. The way the characters are built up and integrated into the story is great. Can’t wait for the next one!

Delightful!

I can’t say enough about this series. It is completely charming and heartfelt, with just a touch of spice. Vlad is the dearest and it was wonderful to grow to love Elena just as much.

My one critique is minor. I adore this narrator. He is brilliant and can make a huge cast of characters feel differentiated. But the quirky addition of Max Caulfield in the first book made me stay up all night laughing. If just those parts had been read by an actor associated with war films, it would have just pushed it from 5 stars to 6! Great read, wonderful narration. I’m looking forward to Colton’s story!

Love it so much at the start but...

I thought this book is going to be my favorite because it's so hilarious and fun at the start. I love the guys from the book club and their chemistry, interaction but when it comes to hero and heroine chemistry it turn out to be so boring and I can't feel their love for each other at all. I tried to finished this book but I can't.

Annoying

I liked the first book in this series so much I almost bought the whole series, but I'm glad that I didn'tthe second book wasn't as good and introduced a bunch of woke femanism rants, which unfortunately continue in this book.

I skipped the third book to read this one because I was interested most in Vlad's story. While his is better than Braden's Im two hours out from finishing this book and annoyed it's going to take that long to wrap this thing up. I don't think I will be reading anymore from this author. Trying another book of hers outside this series may not be worth my money, but I might do it if I get a free credit or she shows up at the library.

Vlad is adorable and his story is very sweet, but some of the behaviors that keep these two apart are frustratingly irrational. Then add in that one of the bookclub boys keeps spouting these groan worthy diatribes on toxic masculinity and femanism, but the author makes it so everyone revere's them like sermons from a great intellectual authority. I don't read these books for lectures.

Vlad’s story.

Great addition to the series, these guys are definitely Unicorns. I just love friends to ever after.
