Publisher's Summary

Men were made to rule. They always have and always will. Nothing can change that. Nothing will. It is not a question of whether men will be ruling, but which ones and how.

Our modern society has called for us to “smash the patriarchy”, and the church has not done much better. Instead of telling men how they can hone and refine their aggressive traits, the church has told men that they should aspire to be meek servant-leaders, and when a man shows any signs of independence, he is shown the door.

This leaves most young men lost. They don’t know what to do or how to improve, so they watch Jordan Peterson videos on YouTube to learn how to grow in their masculinity and sense of mission. In this book, Michael Foster and Bnonn Tennant remind men that their natural aggressive instincts are gifts from God that are meant to be used for the kingdom.

Men are supposed to found households, join brotherhoods, and work toward a mission. It's Good to Be a Man offers men a quick guide to where they are and how they can improve. God made men to be strong and aggressive risk-takers. This is a feature, not a bug. Foster and Tennant remind us that it’s good to be a man.

Excellent read

The are a lot of books on what it means to be a Man, and this is one of the best ones I've read. This timely book does a great job engaging that question, giving you enough to get started as you undertake the enormous God given duty of embracing your masculinity.

Every man needs to read this

This is one of the most influential books on manhood I’ve ever read. It should be studied by groups of men, churches, and bible study groups, I will definitely put it on the top shelf of my collection for a reference. It has every spiritual and psychological understanding that I was missing throughout my journey as a Christian man. Will definitely read again and again, and will encourage and even begin a group study with it.

Terrible

It's like, the guys who made this book, read the rational male once and decided to write a book based on a lot of things Rollo and others have brought to light.

It's like, the creator's of this book read the rational male and said:

"hmm let me just rewrite this ,put a Christian spin on it, and take out the things I don't like."

This book will only truly appeal to naive Christian men who have never read The Rational Male. These guys are just some more hustlers. Selling purple pill ideas and passing someone else's work as their own.

Some of their interpretations of the Bible are sound, and for that reason the book isn't a complete waste...

..but other than that...

...it'll definitely be something to go over once and to completely forget about.

There's better books that have talked about "bEinG a MaN" and this is not one of them.

Fantastic and much needed book.

This is a much needed book in today's world when men have been demonized by culture. Learn to be a good man.

Come for wisdom, receive rebuke, and grow stronger

You are probably ready to receive this if you are willing to. If you're scoffing at the premise, then you're probably too young.

A basic primer of what manhood is

We have a lot of views of manhood in our culture: the white knight who supports any woman who cries, the weak domesticated boy at his wife's beck and call, the men going their own way who are broken and selfish and the Clint Eastwood gunslinger loner who can only kill and destroy. None of these are what God wants a man to be.
excellent book, I highly recommend it

Highly Recommended

Recommended for every Christian man. If we took up half of what is in this book, the Church and the world would be much better off!

It’s good

A Biblically grounded work on what being a man is. And the heart of our mission is to glorify God whenever He has placed us.

If you, like many men today, struggle with understanding what God requires of you as a Christian man, this is a good place to start.

It’s good.
