Love it

Just a suggestion, maybe the author can create a bundled book of these programming guides so people can just purchase one book and learn different kinds of programming.

recomended

The book is solid, content is really clear, examples and code are great, but its a good idea to have a prior introduction to programming in general before introducing yourself to Java and this book. Other than that I do recommend it. It wont help you with all your doubts and questions but it represent a solid ground to start building your programming experience.

Good book.

This book is very readable, even for someone like me who does not come from a computer science background. I am familiar with Python and bought this book to start learning how to use a more high-performance language, and I found the book was readable by itself, meaning that I didn't need to just reference it while working on problems; I was able to learn some fundamentals of Java just by reading it like any other book.

Comprehensive.

I really like the overall style, the code examples and notes about similarities and differences between Java and C++. This book is a must-have for every Java programmer of any level of experience.

A highly effective learning method

This book is excellent. It packages the material in very short chapters -- most are two or three pages -- and then provides interactive exercises for each chapter on a website. There are twenty little problems for each chapter. This contrasts sharply with the dry and non-engaging presentation of virtually any other technical book

Great Beginners Introduction to JavaScript

This is a beginner's book. This isn't a book on how to program. This is a book to help beginners learn the syntax and structure of JavaScript with the view that understanding the basics is essential to understanding more complex subjects.

Concepts low idea about programming!

The first few chapters are focused on building a foundation for execution, using the program and concepts of the programming language, he is really an amazing author. Actually, I'm was too low an idea about programming.

Very good one

This is very a good introductory book that isn't specific to one particular language, however, it does give examples in a couple of the more popular languages. This book is extremely helpful especially the online exercises.
