Inspiring! One of the best books I have ever read

I read about 40 books last year, most of them were of the same genre as Jack Blank, but Jack was by far the best. It was entertaining, full of positive inspiring messages, and had the best narration I have ever heard.

Needed More 'Imagine-Nation'...Zzzzzz

Rolled the dice again, and got this. Let's treat it like a flu shot, and get it over with QUICK.

Well, it's somewhat interesting, but not note-worthy.

A hodge-podge of super-heroes, villains, ninjas, mad-scientists, tech-warriors, and a zombie/borg-like enemy, all pursuing a young boy who will someday possibly turn evil and rule them all.

Good premise, but light on plot, soft on delivery. Not much to say, ultimately.

This is one of three in the series, and none of them fare better than the first. The author didn't grow much through the series. The narrator was better than the material.

It's a shame, but I have to call them as I see them. Sorry, Matt. This could have been so much more.

Avoid all three of these audiobooks.

Nostalgic

When I was as a kid this was the book that got me into reading. It was the first time I read a book and found a love for reading. Could I be looking at this with rose colored glasses? Probably but I still loved the memories.

Not only did I love the story line, but the action packed scenes, and plot this that nearly give you whiplash keep you on your toes. Combine that with amazing reading and great life lessons and this book is just Awesome.

Hooked from the beginning!

What did you love best about Jack Blank and Imagine Nation?

As a parent I loved the fact that this story kept all three of my kids engaged! The story contained humor, action, but also has a heart. Jack is an orphan and his feelings are addressed in the book. Great opportunity to talk to the kids about real stuff.

What other book might you compare Jack Blank and Imagine Nation to and why?

Of course there are Harry Potter comparisons in regards to the fact that he's an orphan, brought back to a new world where fantastical things happen, and he has power that he can't imagine or control... But the Jack Blank story is it's own creation with a world that my kids thoroughly enjoyed.

What about Norbert Leo Butz’s performance did you like?

Loved the performance!

Any additional comments?

We would highly recommend this story for kids and their parents to enjoy together. At the time of listening my kids were 11, 9, and 7 years old. Very fun listen which resulted in us getting the whole trilogy.
