Publisher's Summary

This is a revised version of a book previously released in 2016.

Jakke is the same book listeners fell in love with, but with more detail and scenes added. (Now over 52,000 words.)

The Tureis invaded Earth, killing most of the population in their first attacks. Sydney found a way to survive, carefully avoiding anything alien. When she discovered an injured Azziarin lying in a dark alley, she went against every instinct and rescued him. After nursing him back to health, other Azziarins stormed her hideout, injuring her in the process.

Unwilling to allow the injured female to be left for dead, Takkeo ordered that she be brought back to their ship. She had helped him, and he wouldn’t leave her behind. How was he supposed to know that his older brother Jakke would experience the mating fever with her presence?

Jakke had no way of knowing that his younger brother Takkeo would bring a human female on board his ship. When the mating fever hit him full force, he tried to fight it. And then she went into heat.

Arriving home, he needed to explain that he had accidentally mated her, and she couldn’t return to Earth. Then he had to explain things to her — the Azziarin culture, his father King Malick, and his consorts — could they all live together in harmony? Jakke certainly hoped so!

A note to listeners: This is the culture of another planet, but there is no real cheating. Sydney would never stand for such a thing. There are sexual situations intended for mature audiences, and a happily ever after.

Great Story

Great plot and narration; although a male narrator would have been nice to bring Jakke to life. Paranormal romances tend to have similarities like small human female and big alien male. I like that the human female was likeable and not obnoxious. The sex scenes were not obscene like many of the other books. The balance was just right. Looking forward to the next book!

Total waste of credit

I took a chance on this and fought to finish it. The characters are unrealistic, childish and completely unrelatable. A nurse who kept saying she is a nurse while her actions were so naieve it was cringe worthy. The storyline itself was childish and unrealistic which was further highlighted by a narrator who sounds like she is reading a bedtime story for kids. Total waste of credit.

Worse Book Ever

This is the poorest excuse for a book I have ever listened too. Couldn't finish it. A fourth grader could do better. Narrator should be gagged. Not capable of reading with any type of change of voice for characters. Do Not Waste time or money. Couldn't finish book as was spool bad!

Lots of talking.

Didn't need to be extended... It isn't just word count, it should be quality of the finished book. Narrator was okay, but made the young brother sound about 8 years old.

Jakke

This is a excellent story. I recommend it to you. The way the tale twists and turns it is perfect.

Neh narrator

This book was read rather than performed. It took me out of the story and I eventually read the print copy myself. It was faster.

Awful

What a waste of a credit. The book is weak and the reader made it even worse.

The male character isn’t likable, even with supposed personal growth. The plot is minimal and too easily overcome for something that is supposedly a “cultural” difference. (Culture is deeply engrained, not a disagreement about withholding information because a character doesn’t have the nerve to tell the other.)

The performer would be better off reading children’s books - she made it feel like I was listening to something written for a 4th grader! The writing is low level as well, which compounds the issue of it sounding like it was written for children - the sex sounds all kinds of wrong in such a tone!!!

I bought this because I read “Kyrio” by the same author. That was a great book! I can’t believe these are written by the same author! Totally disappointed. Skip “Jakke” and read “Kyrio” if you value your credit.

One Great Author

I have waited a long time for this series to arrive on audio. I love the plot and the difference of the ladies and how they ended were they are, how they are matched to the gentleman is just as interesting. I can’t wait til the next book in this series is out.
