Publisher's Summary

If the women who followed Jesus could tell you what he was like, what would they say?

Jesus' treatment of women was revolutionary. That's why they flocked to him. Wherever he went, they sought him out. Women sat at his feet and tugged at his robes. They came to him for healing, for forgiveness, and for answers. So what did women see in this first-century Jewish rabbi, and what can we learn as we look through their eyes today?

In Jesus through the Eyes of Women, Rebecca McLaughlin explores the life-changing accounts of women who met the Lord. By entering the stories of the named and unnamed women in the Gospels, this book gives listeners a unique lens to see Jesus as these women did and marvel at how he loved them in return.

Beautiful Explanation

I really appreciated how the author thoroughly examined the women in the Scriptures & gave beautiful examples of how these women can be examples to women today.

A love I didn’t even know was already there

Highly Recommend Book! I just finished listening to on Amazon Audible, and to share this beautiful message of Jesus’ love with a handful of my friends.

It’s more than just being so good, it’s actually hearing Jesus say, “I choose you” and “I love you” directly to your heart through the words of these women mentioned in the Bible.

Definitely a Must Read!

PS: The trailer that was made for this book was genius. It was because of that trailer I read this book. I also shared the trailer with my friends along with my book recommendation, and was also told it was because of that book trailer they were interested in reading this book with their circle of friends and family. Great job on the marketing of this wonderful book. I’m already looking for more of her books.

An Excellent Listen

A very helpful book that walks through The Gospels. I think the best parts are the opening and closing sections. More about the Gospels than about women in the Gospels, which is perfectly fine! But it did not go in the direction I thought it was going to go.

Jesus a through the Eyes of Womem

Thank you. Setting the women of the Bible as a story was heart warming. The story, in no way, interferes with the gospel but adds a depth for me that I couldn’t see clearly. My heart is grateful for this added blessing. Thank you.

Articulate meets challenging in robust way

Rebecca gives an accurate biblical explanation to the intersection of modern skeptics and foundational orthodox teaching. Her words should be comfort and exaltation of Christ’s intentions, challenge, and inclusion of woman. But most importantly, to discipleship properly seen.

Must-read for men & women alike!

I couldn't stop listening!
McLaughlin's insights into Sacred Scripture and Christ Himself are wonderfully rich, yet also steeped in historical, literary, and theological accuracy. Hearing the work through the author's own voice, with her designed emphasis and emotion, brings it to life. I love how unabashed she is to take on difficult topics and objections, but she does so with humility. In my opinion, this book is approachable enough to be read by anyone and simultaneously grounded enough to stand up to academic examination.
Brothers and Sisters of the Faith, read it.
I can't wait to read it again.

Informative read

Women were important to Jesus, it's reassuring to know. The modern day women can feel confident we are equal in his eyes.

Interesting insight from well researched author

Rebecca McLaughlin is excellent in telling the story of Christianity with useful references to other authors, scientists and her experience of living through the faith. This book is no exception with some fantastic insight to the early church and the importance of women. The message on how counter cultural and revolutionary this movement has been is really helpful

The narration is really clear. Look forward to her next book!
