Publisher's Summary

This audiobook is all about learning to sharpen the communication gaps that you already have in relation to interview situations. No more sweaty hands during any interview session for job recruitment!

You have made the right choice by getting this audiobook, as you're going to learn how to show the best of yourself to employers. We're going to show you how to make a smooth move from your application to the job offer. Let's be perfectly clear what this audiobook is not all about. It's not an audiobook about how you can tell the story of the interview situation. That would be presumptuous, and you might be either overbearing or obnoxious, or both. It's not an audiobook about how to slip the wool over the eyes of the manager by appearing "dressed for performance" and then dishing out "canned answers" to interview inquiries.

This is an audiobook about some of the most important communications in your life. Doing well in a 20- to 60-minute interview can have a number of positive outcomes for you and your career. In addition to a nice compensation package, it should result in a job that you're really going to do well and enjoy doing - the ultimate in career satisfaction.

Build your own interview power

You will possess the power to turn interview anxiety into expectation and performance. In the following chapters, we will share with you the techniques of a good interview. We will concentrate on you in relation to the employer - what you both need to do in order to arrive at a mutually satisfactory agreement that will hopefully lead to a fulfilling long-term professional and personal partnership.

Our approach to this issue is very easy. We continue with you, the interviewee, and push you through the interview process right from the beginning to the end. Most of the chapters function in the same manner as a job interview - a series of specific questions you need to respond and pose.

Also, in this audiobook, you have the opportunity to access 99 questions that are best asked during any interview and also guidelines and tips to comport yourself during any official gathering.

I don't believe the reviews are real

I've only listened to a couple chapters, but I can't believe all of these 5 star ratings, especially for the narrator. I'm sure that she is a wonderful person, but she has a child-like voice and a heavy southern accent. I'm having a hard time understanding her, and there have been a couple words that I still can't figure out what she meant.
The content seems OK and it is helping me get in the right frame of mind for a job search and interviews, but I doubt that I will listen to the whole book.

Chapter 13, at 21.57 there's a cat meowing

I loved the cat. Advice is good. Speaker has a distinct southern accent which may be off putting to some listeners but it isn't bad, she reminds me of Sandy Cheeks but not as high pitch. Oddly enough, Sandy's is a genuine and authentic character and it makes the speaker seem more familiar and easier to receive.
