Publisher's Summary

Are you tired of not doing the things you said you would do and doing the things you said you wouldn't do?

You have big dreams of changing your life. Or maybe you have small dreams of just keeping your commitments in your work, school, or relationships. Either way, you can’t seem to get it together. You promise yourself you’ll do it later, when you’re refreshed, remotivated, when NSYNC gets back together.

But here’s the thing, later never comes. Months, even years down the line, you still have a picture of a bathtub full of cash, a Lamborghini, and a six-pack on your vision board, yet you still work retail, drive a car that requires you to click your heels three times in order for it to start, and have last night’s doughnut crumbs on your mouth.

Asking yourself to sit down and have the willpower and motivation to be productive and not put off doing things you know you should do is like asking a six-year-old to eat steamed broccoli and do your taxes.

We often know what we should be doing. But let’s face it. Doing stuff is hard. With this audiobook, not so much. You will find:

  • How to “cheat” more hours out of your day
  • How to organize your to-do list for maximum productivity and minimum "I want to tear my hair out and kill someone"
  • The myth of the “morning person”
  • Why you already have what you need to succeed, even if you’re broke, ugly, and talentless
  • The five willpower killers that destroy motivation
  • How to get things done when you’re overwhelmed or don’t feel like it
  • The sometimes friendly, sometimes not-so-friendly kick in the pants you need to make you see and do things differently, change your life, and hopefully laugh in the process

This audiobook has practical, easy-to-apply tips, shared in a fun and relatable way.

If you’re tired of the same old hippie mumbo jumbo advice from the same dry, boring self-help guides, scroll up and click "Buy Now" to get this audiobook!

Got something good in store for me.

So, with it being the beginning of the year, one of my New Years Resolutions has been to finish what I start. I always start projects and have these big, great ideas and grand plans, but I never finish anything and then wonder why my life is still the same. I went on a self help book spree (I really need it) and this is one of the books I got, and it is my favorite so far. It has easy to follow little tidbits of advice, and is a very easy listen. I imagine it’ll be an easy read too, so I just went ahead and bought the paperback book as well to pull out whenever

This is not for the desperate procrastinators

I think this book has a lot of good content but unless you already have self control and will power it will just frustrate. If you happen to have any mental abnormalities like ADD, ADHD, Anxiety issue, depression, etc this might just make you feel more helpless and overwhelmed.

Getting things done.

I have severe ADD. Okay, so that’s technically self diagnosed, but still, I can’t seem to focus or sit still or just discipline myself enough to get something done. This audiobook is a kick in the behind to actually get stuff done!

sarcastic, witty, & helpful !

i thought this book was going to be mostly yelling to do better, but the author beautifully wove in empathy, personal stories, wit, & positive statements with some hard truths. excellent read!!!! I'm going to read more titles from this author too

Annoying voice

I was hoping for a calming tone and motivation/self esteem advice. This is borderline condescending

Pretty basic. Good if you're starting from 0.

The book was good, but really focused I'm helping people who are starting from basic zero. If you're in a spot where you hate everything about your life or you are just a complete hot mess, then this is the right book for you. Not quite as practical if you are trying to just improve on a life you're already relatively happy with.

Meh, search for another self help book

Not really worth the effort, there are other books out there that address procrastination better.

Functional self-help book.

There’s been a trend lately of people just telling it like it is. That’s what I call it “telling it like it is” self help. This audiobook is one of those books. And I have to say, I much prefer it to the dry, boring, self help.

Terrible book

Terrible disclaimer at the beginning- basically the author says she’s not responsible for anything in the book. Why wrote the book then?

getting things done.

We’ve all heard the same stuff over and over, but sometimes you just need to hear an old thing in a new way, and that’s what this audiobook does. I found it to be pretty entertaining.

Meh

Nothing new that I didn't already know, I guess as with all self help books you just gotta take action.

Great helpful insights yo move you forward

I really loved this informative book with hints of humour. Speckled with proven scientific based hacks throughout the book, there are tools to suit those that need that added extra boost.

I hoped for more

It was entertaining in the end, but I was hoping for a little bit more in the way of psychology and neuroscience. Guess that’s what I get for buying a book from someone who doesn’t have initial written after their name.

For a young audience

If you're over 30, you've probably heard it all before so don't bother. If you're young and need some motivation, it could work for you.

Unoriginal and Just Copied from other Sources

This book has nothing original in this field to contribute. It doesn’t even add to these ideas or give a new perspective. The poor attempts at humour are also painful. Don’t waste your time with this rubbish.
