Publisher's Summary

If a couple that had been married 50 years could tell you one thing, this would be it!

Do you want to know the secret to marital bliss?

Is it spending quality time together? Is it communication? Or maybe grand romantic gestures?

The truth of the matter is very simple: a happy marriage hides in the simple, everyday things that you do.

Living with another human being, even if you love them to bits, can put you through the ringer. There will be different personalities, different habits and a ton of stubbornness.

It may be surprising to find out but the reason for recently married couples to argue is quite mundane.

Over the course of the first year of marriage, people argue the most about chores and their living arrangements.

Not about jealousy!

Not about future plans!

Not even about finances!

About who’ll be doing the freaking dishes and who’ll be vacuum-cleaning!

Will you ever allow house maintenance to ruin the best years of your life and the relationship with the person that’s closest to your heart?

Preventing such heartache is really simple.

The initial passion doesn’t take a lot of work to happen. Building a solid relationship for the future, however, will necessitate some compromise and a few healthy habits that both of you can adopt to demonstrate love and appreciation.

According to couples who have been married for decades, the secret is quite simple: communicate and accept your partner for who they are.

So, how do you make all of these happen?

In Just Married!, you will discover:

  • How to end laundry, dirty socks and empty milk jug arguments once and for all
  • Eight surprising things that happen after the honeymoon period is over and why the fact she isn’t shaving her legs anymore is a good thing
  • The eight habits that result in life-long marital bliss
  • Your partner isn’t a mind-reader, ergo you need to keep on talking
  • It’s also why you need to keep reaffirming your love
  • When bedroom heat goes down, there are seven things you can do to make sex great again
  • Simple strategies to romance your partner, even when you have jobs, responsibilities and young kids
  • Powerful signs of a toxic relationship and what to do about those
  • Why girl or guy talk and badmouthing your spouse are never OK
  • Are you listening to understand or listening to respond and what’s the difference
  • Simple, heart-warming things you can do each morning to keep love alive for years to come

And much more!

There are dozens of relationship tips and guides out there, most of them based on Cosmo-level clichés.

This book gives you a comprehensive, no-nonsense habit formation guide that refers to real-life situations all married couples will have to face sooner or later.

Do you believe that you deserve happiness? Are you married to the love of your life? If you want to make each other happy and emotionally content in the long run, if you want a lover and not a roommate in your life, scroll up and click the “Buy Now” button now.

Great read for couples.

This audiobook goes into great depth explaining how you can improve communication and learn to accept your spouse for who they are. Marvin’s sage advice resonated with me in terms of building a strong relationship with my spouse. Even though I’ve been married for a while, the author’s advice is applicable to any married couple. It is especially valuable for those who are newlyweds. I know some of the tips have helped my relationship. For example, in Chapter 5 about “learning to listen”, I realized that I needed to practice active listening more. Super tips on how to get it done.

This book is a personal marriage counselor!

I have a silent relationship with my babe because I yell at him and ask him not to yell at me.
I think we will break up soon, as written in the book. To avoid the breakup, we should work on communication and listen to each other. It isn't easy because I think he must ask for forgiveness, not me. I will try to communicate with him for the last time even though I don't want to talk to him or to look at his eye, but I don't want to break up without trying to solve it.

I will try to follow the tips in this book to solve my problem. I will try to tell him about things that bothered me and vise versa.

I recommend this book to couples who difficulty in communication.

Very Informative and 100% TRUE

I've been with my husband for 7 years now. we picked up this book because we wanted to see what I could be doing better together. after listening to the whole thing, all I have to say is... WOW

This book is exactly like having your own personal marriage counselor. While my husband and I get along really well and implement a lot of what's written in here, listening to this book opened us up to talking about some of the things we didn't realize we were doing that bothered the other one.

My marriage was already strong before this book, but I know after reading it it's going to get even stronger.

So while this book is written for those who have only been married for a few years, there is definitely enough meat in here for those of us who have been married for more!

I am definitely going to recommend this book to my friends. (I think some of them may need it ;) )

Fantastic Advice for Newlywed Couples

Marriage isn't easy.
It's work, commitment, and struggle. (at times)
But it's also joy and laughter, hugs and kisses, and appreciation and sharing.

There are very practical tips and solid guidance/advice in this book for newlywed couples.
It's well worth picking up and reading (or in this case listening).

I would even say - listen together for a great little couple's project to keep you on the same page of love and sharing.

Highly recommended.

Powerful, Empathetic, Romantic!

My Fiance and I are getting married this year, and I came across this audiobook and thought it would be fun to listen! The author is clearly professionally experienced in the subject, and takes a light hearted approach to providing strategies and suggestions for enhancing relationships right after marriage.

The book offers practical ways to enhance romance and intimacy, compassion, communication, and playfulness without treating it like a chore or do or die scenario. Many of these suggestions sound exciting apply with my partner once we're married, and I will likely refer back to this title in the first year of our marriage to remind myself of anything important. The narrator is even toned and easy to understand, and breaks down each point articulately. For anyone about to get married, or recently married and are seeking ways to strengthen their marriage, I would definitely give Just Married! a listen!

Simple yet powerful

This audio book goes over some of the best practices that are often overlooked but so powerful. It points out things that you think we'd all know about after the wedding, but somehow forget. Regardless, married or not, this book is very helpful because every relationship can become a little strained. So needless to say - this is a delightful book for newlyweds and a good refresher for the rest of us who might begin to take our marriages or relationships for granted. It provides great tips and approaches to maintaining a fulfilling life of love.

Fantastic for newlyweds and long term marriages!

As someone who didn't have great marital role models growing up, I really enioyed this book. Its short and practical without feeling like you're missing out on anything. It focuses on developing everlasting love, which goes beyond the initial infatuation stages which occur in the first 3 years of a relationship. Particular areas of focus are communication and ensuring your partner always feels appreciated.

Engaging and practical

This is an engaging little book that, as the author states, does not have all the answers but definitely offers a wealth of practical information and suggestions for embarking on your best married life. Particularly useful perhaps for people who did not have positive married role models growing up and may therefore struggle with unrealistic expectations of married life and/or be lacking in effective marital communication skills. Also a good refresher that may help those who have been married a little longer to untangle some things that aren't working.

Great to listen together to

Me and my husband have had some struggles, before our wedding and after. We love each other dearly but communication has always been hard for us.

I decided to buy a few books that could help us and Just Married! was one of them. We decided to listen a little bit every night together and afterwards discuss the book.

Yesterday we finished the book and I can truly say that our relationship has never been better. It opened up to a lot of conversations we never had, sometimes uncomfortable, but they are necessary to have. So glad I found this book!

Wonderful Book!

I love how this book goes beyond the honeymoon and explains how couples can build off their love and learn to value and respect one another. It also explains how communication can have a huge impact on the outcome of a relationship as well.

Amazing!
