Publisher's Summary

From USA Today best-selling author Jane Anthony comes a seductive second-chance stand-alone rock-star romance.

Ainsley Daniels wasn't the first girl to crawl out of my bed; she's just the first one I was dying to drag back in.

As lead singer of the most notorious rock band in the world, people kiss the ground I walk on. I could have anyone I want. Any time. Any place.

But I want her. And I'm going to have her.

It's been more than a year since I first laid eyes on her; one long year this storm has been brewing. A twist of fate finally hands me the chance I've been waiting for. I'm about to remind Ainsley just who Kade Black is, and this time...I won't let her walk away.

Incredible second chance rockstar romance!!!

Ainsley is trying to get over a broken marriage from a cheating husband, when she gets the chance to meet her rockstar crush Kade from Black Diamond. Kade feels an instant connection with her from the first moment they meet but she try’s to push him. But with her work for the band she couldn’t denied what she was feeling. Their story is not all smooth sailing but it definitely worth taking the journey with them as they find their perfect ending.

Well Ainsley can be annoying at time both characters are wonderful. And the author does an remarkable with the storyline. Plus the narrators Lee Daniels & Gregory Salinas does amazing job bringing the characters to life.

Loved Shay

Kade and Ainsley. One rock star. One divorced single mom. One has arrogance and a bad temper. The other is full of distrust and self-doubt. Together their flaws don't matter. The world is full of possibilities and happiness but it's fleeting. The real world repeatedly invades, showing that their lives just don't work together. However, Kade isn't used to being told no when he wants something. And he wants Ainsley.

I wanted to love this story. I love the bad boy/rock star with the normal girl trope. Ainsley being a single mom starting all over resonated with me. However, Ainsley ultimately was not lovable as a character. I understand her trust issues on a personal level. But she kept pushing him away, expecting him to prove himself over and over, and never admitting her own mistakes or making any attempts to reach out to him. How is it reasonable to push someone away in the harshest manner and then blame them for being gone? Just once, I wanted her to be the one to make a gesture. Instead, Kade was the only one working to make them a couple. He deserved more. My only issue with him was the appearances with the porn star. So, they were friends. Why if you are in love with one woman do you need another on your arm? Unnecessary. There were already plenty of barriers put in place by Ainsley. She didn't need another. It had potential but Ainsley's character spoiled most of it. This did put the book in a rare category since it's usually the rocker who needs character redemption. I did love Shay and I loved her scenes with both Ainsley and Kade. Her scenes were the best.

Lee Daniels and Gregory Salinas were excellent. This was the first time I have listened to Lee. She was good and voicing the female characters making them individuals, Shay and Ainsley especially. This was one of my favorite performances of Gregory. He captured the many facets of Kade, his sexiness, temper, and vulnerability. He definitely elevated the story.

Good story, great characters but MFC is annoying!

"Kade" is a good rockstar romance but at the end of the day there was nothing to really stick out about it or give it pop...in essence "Kade" is forgettable. The narrators were great overall; Gregory Salinas has an amazing voice and his interpretation of Kade is spot-on. Lee Daniels was no slouch either - but I tend to gravitate more to the seductive purr of male narrators ;).
If there is anything that I care to especially comment on it is my thoughts about Ainsley. I honestly do not think she deserved the blatant devotion from Kade. She kept finding reasons to push him away - the first one or two times are understandable, she has a daughter she is trying to raise - but when it became clear that her ex husband was doing things to keep Kade away just to be spiteful I kept wondering where Ainsley's backbone went. Kade kept chasing her and chasing her and saying he'll "never give up" but by the end I almost kept wishing he would.
3 stars overall - this is not a more than once read.

Rockstar Romance

The bigger they are the harder they fall and this saying makes up all that is Kade. Well written, beautifully narrated a romance that will have you on a roller coaster of a ride with our main characters Kade and Ainsley. We first meet Ainsley broken by a marriage gone wrong and the dream of a HEA dashed. She has the opportunity to meet rockstar hunk and crush Kade with bank Black Diamond only - the chemistry is not one sided and the alpha that is Kade comes out in full force. There were times in this read that I just wanted to pull my hair out wishing for a HEA - Ainsley's back and forth drove me mad and my heart broke for Kade. There was great dual point of view thru this so I really appreciated that as well as the dual narration which also really helped to bring these strong characters to life. Some of the "flashbacks" and time skips were a little difficult to follow with the audio version but didn't take long to figure it all out. Loved the suburban wife and rockstar vibe and really, the whole book was a delight from start to finish! Loved it!

This book was given to me for free at my request and I voluntarily provided this review.

Kade

okay that was the best ending ever!!!! & to be honest I wasn't expecting that. but I'm glad we got a different happy ending. I think its honest to say some of us single mothers wish or want that kinda happy. anyways I loved and hated this story. 🤧 😔 I felt so bad for Kade from the moment they meet he was madly in love with her, and all she kept doing was push him away. dude I was so glad that she finally came to her Senses because if not I was ready to slap her. but it was a good story the narrator's did a really good job too.

I ended up enjoying this Rockstar romance. In the beginning, I was sort of put off by both of our main characters but I think that's the point, right? We get to watch them grow throughout the story until they reach the point that they are both ready for each other. Felt a little bad for Kade at times, but the road to true love isn't always smooth. Narration was excellent and I feel this book was definitely worth the credit. Enjoy!

Really grew on me! Ended up enjoying it.

This one really grew on me as the story moved along. At first, I wasn’t super interested or really cared about either of the character but once the story got going It really started to flow well, and drew my interest in to each of these characters. The story was enjoyable to listen to.

My biggest issue is how many times they break up and get back together— break up and get back together. I would think that Kade would just actually move on instead of keep going back. I almost felt sorry for Kade more than once because he actually wasn’t doing anything wrong and she kept kicking him out. No drugs, cheating or nastiness from him. It was her own insecurities that orchestrated everything.

I did listen to this on audio. Lee Daniels and Gregory Salinas are the two narrators and they did an excellent job.

Kade

This is the first Jane Anthony book I have read and I loved it! This book did not end how I expected. It had an amazing HEA but not the standard cookie cutter ending. Kade is a Rockstar with a hard outer shell but a heart just wanting to be loved. Ainsley is spilt from her husband after finding out he has been sleeping with the nanny for several years. She is finally going to do something for herself. She helps her friend out for a month on tour with a famous Rock band. Ainsley has been a fan of Kade for a very long time. This is a single mom/ Rockstar second chance romance. Lee Daniels and Gregory Salinas did an incredible job narrating this book.

Super high swoon factor!

YES! YES! YESSSSS! I have decided that Jane Anthony brings us some of THE SWOONIEST H's around! Kade had me from the start. I am not going to lie.... he did make me super angry a time or 2. Do not even get me started on Bob.... that man was the most infuriating! I was totally in love with the idea of Jenny and Banger! The story if Kade and Ainsley was so back and forth... and all the while I was thinking "Can they just get it together already?!?" I was a bit annoyed with one time that Ainsley pushed Kade away because by that point he had already shown that he was all in and could fix just about any problem that came up. But she just didn't have faith.

The narration was really good! I was sucked right in and didn't want to stop listening. I highly recommend this book. It was entertaining, funny, sexy, sweet .... it was ALL THE THINGS!

Beautiful Second Chance to Love!

This was my first Jane Anthony’s book, and won't be my last. Kade and Ainsley’s story is intense, passionate, and beautiful. They are opposites attract. Kade, a famous and cocky Rock Star is alpha, dominant, possessive, and definitely arrogant. Ainsley, a divorced and single mom, is beautiful, broken, and insecure. Kade and Ainsley’s push and pull relationship is emotional, and enthralling, filled with ups and downs, and drama. The story is told from both POV’s, which is really great. This is a great second chance to love. Ainsley’s very understandable insecurities were exhausting at times. The Epilogue is epic, and beautiful. The narration is wonderful! Gregory Salinas and Lee Daniels are perfect as Kade and Ashley. #TheFlock

Amazing dual narration from Lee Daniels and Gregory Salinas

Ainsley is getting over a cheating husband, when she gets the chance to meet her rockstar crush Kade from Black Diamond, she jumps at it. When Kade set eyes on Ainsley he changes from a playboy into someone who would move heaven and earth for her. Can she trust him! Amazing chemistry and such ups and downs.

Smoking hot

I gotta say, rockstar romance is a guilty pleasure of mine. And this one hit in all the right places. Personally I found Ainsley very realistic and easy to relate to, and the same with Kade, though it took a little longer to figure him out.
The narrators did an amazing job, they told the story so well.

Very enjoyable

With so much to lose, this leading lady wants just one more crazy fling before she settles down with her daughter and reassess her life. Unfortunately her fling has long term plans. These characters are likeable and full of chemistry. A brilliant performance.

Good secchance romance.

I love a rock star, second chance romance and this lives up to expectations. Ainsley is a kind, sweet young woman who deserves better from life and she has just the friend to help her! This results in her meeting her crush, Kade. Lee Daniels and Gregory Salinas gave very listenable voices and tell the story really well. 💖💖💖💖

Good

I enjoyed this book rockstar romance is one of my guilty pleasure fantasies, this book started out really good but half way through it got a little slow and I felt like Ansley was going in circles with her emotions I understand she was hurt and it left her confused so she was unsure of her feelings but it's more like a 3rd chance romance, the narrators did a great job

Finally!

This book had me interested since before it was available. I finally was able to listen to it, and I’m so mad it took so long. This book had me turned around and upside down. I stayed up and only got 2 hours of sleep. I just couldn’t put it down. I will be looking for more from this author. I really enjoyed the writing. The narrators did a really good job with the dialogue.

Ainsley and Kade!

After being betrayed by her husband Ainsley is trying to pick up the pieces of her life and is facing spending the summer without her daughter when her best friend suggest she goes on tour with Black Diamond. There is no denying the chemistry between her and Kade, the lead singer, however she doesn’t see a way that their very different lives could merge.

From his first meeting with Ainsley, Kade knew that she was special but all his attempts to show her that they belong together don’t turn out the way he plans. He is determined to convince her that he will be there for her and daughter Shay but that also means dealing with the past that he has never healed from.

Both Ainsley and Kade must deal with the emotional turmoil of their pasts as it is having an effect on not only the present but the future they could have together. I enjoyed the performance of the narrators as they brought out all the feelings that the characters were dealing with. 🎧 Audiobook Obsession

Second Chance Rockstar

Kade by Jane Anthony was my first book by this author and I plan to explore more of her books!

Kade is a bad boy rockstar and he meets Ainsley when she comes on tour with her friend. These two had an instant connection / attraction that they tried to deny but they just couldn't. Timing just wasn't always on their side as well as other life circumstances so there is a lot of push and pull on their journey. A story full of emotions, hope, second-chances, and love. Overall, I really enjoyed this listen and was a great rockstar romance!

Lee Daniels and Gregory Salinas were incredible narrating Kade and Ainsley - A great choice for these characters!!

Good rockstar romance

This is Kade and Ainsley's story, a sweet rockstar romance full of emotions and real life issues. It was quite entertaining, the characters were good, I loved Kade, but was a bit annoyed by Ainsley, not a fond of single parents romance, yet aibliked thañe way it all was throughout the story. The performance by both narrators was fantastic, had some editing issues but overall the audiobook was good.

I couldn’t finish it ..

I got 3/4 the way through then couldn’t continue.. Kade is awesome and but Ainsley is a dipshit .. lm all for confusion and angst but over and over she turns on him , blames him for things beyond his control and is plain selfish & nasty ..and it’s on , off , on , off .. you don’t mess with someone you love like that.. especially someone with a background as sad as Kade.. l lost interest after the “ photos” as it was wtf here we go again .. the story is otherwise well written and l would definitely read / listen to more from this author ( if it included a more likeable main character ) the narrators did a great job .
