Spin off of outlander
The audible version is excellent. However, the story itself - it is painstakingly similar to outlander. Almost the same plot, only reversed (takes place in modern times instead of past). No originality.
A good turn your brain off book, but only if you don’t get annoyed about the blatant lack of originality.

I so loved this story of Kaitlynn and her time traveling kilt wearing Highlander. This has suspense, intrigue, and humor. I loved the way the relationship was allowed to develop. Loved The Narrator!
Keira Stevens did an extraordinary job with the narration of this story. Her accent for Magnus was so good it was the highlight of the book. She definitely brought out the fact that he was a sexy Highlander. I found Kaitlyn to be terribly immature for a 23 year old woman. Though Magnus was just 21 he seemed so much more mature than her and they were almost unsuited to each other. The story itself was funny in parts and most of it was interesting and enjoyable. It definitely was entertaining and Keira Stevens’ narration added to that! It did end rather suddenly so I am assuming it is a continuing story.

This is a horrible book. Don't waste your time.
Immature writing with unlikable characters. I thought I would enjoy this book since I am a fan of the Outlander series, but Kaitlyn and the Highlander is no way similar, especially in regards to quality of writing. Extremely flat characters with a oversimplistic plot. Very disappointed.

Loved it!!
Let me start by saying, This is not normally my go to genre. I don't normally gravitate towards Scottish... well... anything or time travel/historical. Then I tell you. I am dumb. #1- If you don't think Magnus is the sexiest piece of Scottish man meat around, i question your sanity. #2- This is not your usual time travel story. Without spoiling much i will say that it is set in modern times and the sexy Scottish man meat comes forward. I loved the characters and their sizzling chemistry. It was very well written and so intriguing. There was not only a sweet romance but had great suspense as well. I would not classify this as a PNR but more a contemporary romance. Time travel was really a small part of it so I would easily recommend this to anyone who likes sweet romance, slow burn romance, scottish yumminess... well- It may be faster to say everyone should read it :)
Miss Kiera Stevens... What can I say except You Knocked My Socks Off. I LOVED you accents. I would never have guessed you were not a sexy Scottish man by nature. I was shocked as you have such a sweet-pure natural voice. Keira is an absolute force in the Romance Audio World. I highly recommend any of her audio with no hesitation. Check her out!
All in All, if you haven't figured it out by now, I loved this book! I can not wait to get my hands on book 2!

Excellent story from beginning to end! The clever humor actually made me laugh out loud a few times. There were also some raw and touching moments that had my teary eyed . On top of the goodness that is Kaitlyn and the Highlander, the narration was absolutely perfect! not what I expected
I was so confused at first. I went into the story thinking it was a typical romance. But Magnus was so odd. I could not understand why Kaitlyn did not question it. But as the story moves forward, I truly grew to love Magnus and all that he brought into the future with him. Things this world has lost, Magnus reminded us of. I am still unsure of Kaitlyn and hope in the next book, she grows on me. Time travel is not normally a favorite of mine, but Magnus makes it so fascinating, I could not get enough of the stories in the past.
Keira Stevens is a new to me narrator. I enjoyed her narration and will be looking for more books narrated by her. Her voice for Magnus was amazing. From the accent to the deeper male voice, she brought Magnus to life. Keira has an easy to listen to voice and read at a great speed. She kept the characters distinct and consistent which made the book easy to follow and get lost in. I am happy to have found another narrator to follow.

Opposite!
Usually time travelers go back in time. In this audiobook, the hero travels forward 300 years to the current time. Not only is that different but it turns out he knows and is able to do it repeatedly! Did not like the cliffhanger but understood since it's part of a series. I absolutely fell in love with the hero. Little puzzeled at the heroine but her strengths start to show through at the end. Just surprised to have a party girl, technological based person as his interest. At least she's always nice. The story has a mystery going on that continues, would have liked a little more info on this. Excellent narrator!

First in series
This is definitely the start of a series, but not a bad cliffhanger in that it ends in a good place (like an episode in a series). Keira Stevens does a great job making the story easy to listen to.
As far as the story itself, I enjoyed listening to it despite not really connecting with any of the characters. The characters seemed much less mature and less responsible than I expected. For example, it's not just that they're drinking frequently, but to the extent that they don't make it to work as a result of the drinking and no one finds that strange.
Overall, I would recommend this story to people who like a different take on contemporary romance. The setting wasn't unusual and the characters didn't have any special abilities. The premise includes fantasy and there's a tie to the past, but I didn't feel like either played a major role for this first installment in the series. As a result, Kaitlyn and the Highlander might also appeal to those that don't normally read fantasy.

very entertaining
This book was highly entertaining. I had a lot of fun listening to the story. The characters, Kaitlyn and Magnus, were fun to follow as they learned from experiences and became better people. The narration was done well. The writing was great. The dialogue was fun. All in all, a fun listen.

Kaitlyn and the Highlander
He crossed time to find her and protect his mother. Kaitlyn can't help but find him intriguing, he's so different than all the other men around her. But she knows her time with him is limited and he's not sure he can come back to her. This book is fun and exciting. Great job on the narration.

Great plot twist
I knew something was going on throughout this book but couldn’t quite put my finger on it. Great storyline, good strong characters and Keira gives a fantastic performance, excellent accents.

A modern reverse Outlander. Funny and engaging. Kept me wanting more, downloaded the series within a few days. A happy find for me!
