Publisher's Summary

And even though I promised to let her go, I realize that I can't. She's mine now, and I'm keeping her.

To say I had a rough start in life would be the understatement of the century.

My uncle may have rescued me from my abusive childhood, but he couldn't save me from the neurotic and compulsive obsessions I would develop in my adulthood.

I deal with some of the worst criminals in the seedy underbelly of the world just to get what I want. What I need.

And what I need is the perfect woman. Perfect and pure in every way possible. And I'm willing to obtain that perfection...no matter the cost.

So when I make my newest purchase, I expect Adeline's fate to be like all the others before her—taking what I want and then never seeing her again.

But she's different.

Her beauty is disarming.

And even though I promised to let her go after I took what I wanted...I slowly come to the realization that I can't.

I have to break my promise to her, because she's mine now.

And I'm keeping her.

Keeping Her is book one of the two-book dark romance Keep Me series and ends with a cliff-hanger. It contains adult content for mature listeners.

Saving Him, book two of the Keep Me series, is now available on Amazon!

Keeping Her

Keeping Her is the first book in the Keep Me Series. This book is told from multiple points of view from Lucian, Adeline, and Giovanni.

Adeline has had a very sheltered past with a very high-up father in the mafia world. She is to be married to Giovanni. However, Giovanni has a secret and sells her to Lucian to lose her virginity.

Lucian buys virgins due to a rough past, but they are always willing, and he pays them quite well and sends them on their way. However, when Adeline shows up at Lucians, she fights at every turn. He's never met anyone like her, and he wants her like no other woman.

Will Lucian learn that she isn't one of the willing ones? Will Adeline learn who put her up to her kidnapping? Will Lucian and Adeline end up falling for each other?

I really enjoyed this book and all of the twists and turns. I can't wait to see what happens next with these characters!

Keeping Her

This is the first book in the Keep Me series. Adeline is the youngest daughter of an Italian Mafioso. She is arranged to marry his right hand, Giovanni. Poor Adeline is treated worse then dirt. Her father is very abusive. However Giovanni is just as corrupt as her father. He decides to sell her virginity while her father is out of town. Lucien had an absolutely horrible childhood. Due to his horrible past he has several hang ups in his day to day life. One of the many things he has to have is a virgin to satisfy his manly urges. He is so OCD about germs that he can’t imagine being with a tainted woman. So he pays for a willing woman’s virginity and then releases her and gives her money to live the live that she has always dreamed of. However Adeline is his dream girl and he feels different when he is around her. He just doesn’t know how to handle all his feelings. Everything changes when Lucien discovers Adeline was kidnapped and not a willing lady. He goes back on his word and decides to keep her instead of returning her as he originally planned. This book ends on one heck of a cliffhanger. I can’t wait for the next book. Audi Alden and Stephen Borne did an absolutely fantastic job narrating this book.

Dark and Twisted!

This was my first Angela Snyder's book, and definitely won't be my last! This is the first book in the Keep Me series, a Dark Romance. Wow! Lucien and Adeline's story is captivating, sizzling, and passionate. Lucien is a complex and enigmatic character, dark, dominant, and revengeful. His past definitely is horrific. His abusive childhood results in an obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Adeline is such a sweet character, strong and kind, but innocent, and naive. She is the daughter of a powerful mafia king. Adeline's fiancé Giovanni is such an awful and disloyal character. Lucien's cousin Jackson is a great and intriguing character. I liked the twists and turns. The world building is enthralling. The story ends with a big cliffhanger, and I can't wait to listen to Saving Him the second and last book in Lucien and Adeline's story. Stephen Borne and Auri Alden are both new narrators to me. They both have a great voice, very pleasant to listen to. I liked their voices together. They are perfect as Lucien and Adeline. #TheFlock

Fantastic Story & Narration🎧 Riveting & Intense!

Consider me wowed, this book blew me away, it grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it the entire book. Angela Snyder is a new to me author, and I enjoyed her writing style and the originality of the story and the complexity of the characters and the world she created. The characters were easy to relate to and connect with, she even made it easy to fall for them. Adeline, daughter of mafia boss Salvatore Valenti, so you would think he treated like a mafia princess, except her father was a ruthless brute to her. Since her father had no sons, he will marry her off to one of his most trusted men so she can produce a male heir to his empire. But it turns out her chosen husband is not exactly a trusted man, and he is as much shady dealings as her father is. She is getting used to the idea of marrying Giovanni and, while out on a date with him, men with guns approach them and kidnap her. Lucien, the Big Bad Wolf, is a wealthy man who lives in seclusion, and he has a taste for certain girls and his wealth affords him to buy them. Past demons haunt Lucien and those demons get the best of him causing him to be obsessively compulsive and neurotic. He battles those demons but has to have things done a certain way to not tip him over the edge, which makes him extremely eccentric. Adeline has no clue what is going on or why she is being held prisoner and Lucien thinks she is there willingly and knows what she is in for. There is never a dull moment in this cleverly plotted, dark and twisted story, there is a perfect balance of drama, angst, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and unexpected romance. Angela Snyder, thank you for this amazing story and the thrilling and emotional rollercoaster ride. And that killer ending, oh my, I am looking forward to more Lucien and Adeline, Jackson too.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Stephen Borne and Auri Aiden are talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that fit the character’s persona to a tee, sounding believable and just as I pictured the characters to sound. Stephen Bourne played Lucien’s role with perfection, capturing his every emotion, his inner turmoil and made you feel it all. Auri Aiden did the same for Adeline, captured her strength as well as all her emotions. Both were great at performing the roles of the secondary character as well. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fantastic listen.

Deliciously Dark

Deliciously dark seems an apt description of this book! Not at all what I was expecting... it was even better! An OCD captor acquires a mafia princess to satisfy his needs. Usually it's a one and done thing, but not Adaline. He can't seem to let her go. And wow is it hot!

dark, intense

A dark modern day story of Beauty and the Beast. The mafia story revolves around an arranged marriage, a brutal mafia father, a sheltered abused mafia princess and a recluse.
How their world intertwines. A greed for money, Giovanni, Adeline's fiance, does the unthinkable. Selling her virginity to Lucian, a recluse. He was only to keep her until he took her virginity, then send her back, but Lucian decides he wants to keep her.
Giovanni comes to the conclusion what he did was stupid with no way to find her. The story end in a cliffhanger, leaving me wanting for more.
Stephen Borne and Auri Alden are new narrators for me. They were excellent in capturing all the anguish, angst and emotions in this audio. I Highly recommend listening to this amazing audio to experience the story.

Twisted, suspenseful, corruption

This is my first book by Angela Snyder. While the book itself started slow IMO, it finished with a bang! Its deliciously dark and tantalizingly twisted. It ends with a HUGE cliffhanger, and Im not so patiently waiting for the release of book 2.

Captive Romance

Keeping Her by Angela Snyder is a captive romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Stephen Borne and Auri Aiden. This is the first book in the Keep Me series.

I want to start by saying I didn't know the series had a prequel so when I finished the audiobook I went and read it. The prequel is only 22 pages but it does give you insight into why Lucien is the way he is. It's not required to read before the series but I would recommend it since it is Free on Amazon.

This is the first book of Angela's that I have read and I look forward to reading more of her books. The book states its a dark romance but I didn't really think it was. I enjoyed that the relationship between Lucien and Adeline is slowly growing since she was taken against her will. I really liked that we got Lucien, Adeline, and Giovanni's points of view.

The book does end on a cliffhanger that left me wanting to dive into the next book to find out what happens next. I can't wait for Saving Him to be released on audio so I can get the rest of Lucien and Adeline's story.

Stephen and Auri did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

Loved it!

This was my first Angela Snyder book, and I was taken aback by how much I enjoyed her storytelling and characters. Keeping Her is a brilliantly written arranged marriage/captor romance and a fantastic start to the Keep Me Series. I was thoroughly captivated by Adeline and Lucien. Their journey is filled with drama, complex emotions, passion, desire, unpredictability, and surprising twists. Lucien is a complicated man, steered by a traumatic past, lacking trust in people, particularly women. When dealing with a woman, he has limitations, arrangements, and a rigid set of rules. Adeline cracks his flawlessly constructed walls, pushing his boundaries, and making him feel emotions he isn't ready for and doesn't know how to handle. Despite the circumstances, the chemistry and connection between them is something neither can deny. I really enjoyed how the relationship and trust between Adeline and Lucien grew; it felt genuine. The book ended in a cliffhanger; however, the story left an impression, and I'm looking forward to listening to the second instalment, Saving Him.

Stephen Borne and Auri Alden did an incredible job with the narration. They captured and portrayed the complex personalities, emotions, and the connection between Adeline and Lucien. Overall, Keeping Her was a wonderfully written story with excellent narration, one I'll highly recommend.

Keeping Her

Okay this was pretty good. It took me a bit to get into it because to be honest I wasn't really feeling the male narrator. Idk his voice just doesn't fit the male character. But other than that this book was good.

A transaction is made and Adeline is given to Lucien. This book is full of suspense and twists and turns you don't expect.

Intriguing, dark romance.

Adeline’s life has never been in her control. She is the sheltered daughter of a mafia don, destined for an arranged marriage with her father’s right-hand man. What she doesn’t know is her fiancé is a greedy human trafficker, and he sells her virginity with the intent to get her back when his buyer is done with her.

Lucien is a man with a troubled past. Wealthy, he lives a lonely life due to a number of neuroses and issues. When he “buys” Adeline, he doesn’t know who she is. He thinks this is a consensual agreement between him and her, like all the previous virgins before her. His intent is a single night of sex, and a huge payout to the young women in his bed.

What they discover is that while both damaged in their own ways, Adeline and Lucien are good for each other and they are stronger together. I enjoyed this duet.

Adeline and Lucien!

Adeline’s father is a powerful man in the mafia and believes that her only value to him is the marriage he has arranged for her. When she is first abducted all she wants is to return home the same way she arrived but not only has time and distance given her clarity on her life she has begun to develop feelings for her captor even if he doesn’t always treat her well.

Lucien’s devastating past has a large impact on his life. The only person he has allowed close is his cousin and when it comes to women he has a strict protocol that he never waivers from. The only problem is that Adeline is the first women to make him feel which he doesn’t know how to handle and he is beginning to realize that one encounter with her was not enough.

The characters draw you in as you feel for the position that Adeline is in while Lucien has some facets to his personality that leave us wanting to know more about what transpired to shape him into the man he has become and the cliffhanger leaves us wondering what the future holds. The narrator managed to convey the unease that both characters felt with not only themselves but each other as well. 🎧 Audiobook Obsession🎧

Fantastic listen!

Captivating. Exciting! Dark! This first book in the Keep Me series is all that and more. This is my first audio by Angela Snyder, and I have fallen in love with her characters! Lucien is a dark, mysterious and dangerous man. Stemming from a horrible childhood, he deals with many idiosyncrasies. When Adeline comes to him, he is not ready for her. Innocent, scared, feisty and nothing like the others he has engaged with, his interest is piqued and he just can't get enough. But what will happen when she finds out exactly why she is with him? And will she want to leave? Will he be able to let her go? Is she in danger? And who is the real threat, the one who gave her up or Lucien? Fantastic characters, so many questions, engaging dialogue and a cliffhanger that has me wanting Saving Him as soon as possible! Snyder has a winning duet on her hands and I need it in my ears! Bring it on!

Stephen Borne and Auri Alden are our storytellers and what a story they tell! Borne gives us Lucien. Just enough dark to instill a little fear, yet a feeling of vulnerability that makes you love this crazy character. Alden is Adeline. Confused, scared, determined, she brings out all the feelings Adeline is going through and makes us feel them! Great casting for this first book and I can't wait to hear more from them.
