Now, the family of the man she accidentally murdered is hunting the killer, and Lane is forced to cover her tracks by befriending them. Because, everyone knows you keep your enemies closer.

The Suicide Killer: There’s a new killer in town, or is there? As Lane pieces together the recent suicides, the trail leads back to a retirement home. Amazing and interesting thriller

Lane has become a serial killer like her late mother. She hunts and kills the guilty.

This set contains 2 stories:
1.     The Strangler – Lane searches for a teenage girl serial killer and ends up killing the wrong person. While hunting for the killer, she must cover her own tracks to avoid being found out.
2.     The Suicide Killer – Lane finds a serial killer living in her town after some research and going through her mother’s notes. She later uncovers the connection with this killer to her own past.
I enjoyed the stories.

Lane is a fascinating character and I enjoyed her perspectives and way of thinking. She is tough and brutal, yet has a soft side for her family. She also has a romantic interest which is interesting to hear from her strange personality.

Susan narrated very well and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout while listening. I thoroughly enjoyed her performance.

I highly recommend this book. This was the first book I heard in the series, which can be read stand alone, but I am looking forward to hearing the others!

Note: This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this objective review voluntarily.

Suspense, Mystery, Romance, Twisted, Heartwarming!

A lot of suspense, lil' bit of romance, and family. This series is the perfect, complete story. An excellent blend of writing, timing, connecting to characters and narration. Some reviews of the narration are negative because some do not understand that if she had been more or less animated it would have taken from the story, made it less believable. I recommend reading from the beginning book in the series because u will connect more to the story. But this is definitely a fantastic stand alone story, also. Every book wraps it up in the end, leaving u fulfilled but yet wanting another story. I will have a hard time find another novel as satisfying as this. I am now a huge S. E. Green fan!

Narrator over pronounces conjunctions

the narrator isn't the best. She peonounces "shouldnt" like "should-nent"...all similar conjunctions are over-pronounced. it's annoying: "couldn't" sounds like "could-nant"..... ect

Shocking similarities!!

This book series is the Dexter TV series made over. Bart is basically the Trinity killer. All the writer did was switch Dexter to a teenage girl, and change a few names around. The idea is essentially the same. The conversations with the killers are almost verbatim. The pedophile from the first book dispatched in exactly the same manner, with the same dialogue occurring between the characters as it was in the TV series. Dexter television series, and Among Killers are parallels.

No suspense, no reality, no good

Well, I don’t know who I can recommend this to. Anyone who wants a laugh at the sheer stupidity of the storyline?

****SPOILERS****.

I get a few titles that my wife chooses and go through them from time to time. This one is not my cup of tea for sure. There is no suspense, there is no mystery, and every character you meet just happens to be integral to whatever the current problem is! Someone gets killed? Don’t worry, or protagonist will figure out who did it by the next chapter. Our protagonist kills some random person? The next day they will visit the scene of the crime and a random person will talk to her and let her know it was his brother oh and the prosecutor just also happens to be their mother oh and also, the protagonists step father used to date the prosecutor back in high school. The coincidences are strong in these books!! But don’t worry, our protagonist will solve the mystery by the next chapter. Quicker than the cops could ever be. Oh, did you know she is an 18yr old?? This continues chapter after chapter. Every character you meet has someone that was murdered or assaulted and by the next chapter our protagonist will have it solved and will have exacted her revenge on said culprit. Has our protagonist hit a dead end? Don’t worry, she’ll walk past a random cop or hear a local news story that will drop the proper exposition to get moving again so our protagonist can get it settled next chapter!!!

The performance of the reader is done fairly well, not a huge range of characters, but there are so few that it really doesn’t matter.

I guess the one positive is that is only one credit for a few titles, and it gave me chuckles with the wife as I conveyed the sheer luck of our protagonist to just happen to be at the right place at the right time. Just trying to calculate the odds of such things happening will make you head spin.

Otherwise don’t waste your time.

Great book loves the series. Wish it wasn’t over. Would like to read more stories like this one

I would recommend this to all Decter fans.
If you are going to read about murderers what a great idea to have them get rid of the bad people in this world!
