Preppy’s Intro was epic

Three-year-old Taylor’ said it best “We’re all the same inside”. I
For anyone who is reading this book years after it was released-Right now in America there is so much hate, senseless murders, riots, and protesting. So those little girls words means a lot and it’s sad adults don’t feel the same way.
I am in love with all of these characters and this series. Hopefully this is not the last book in the series. I would love to hear about the kids once they are grown up and their story. There would be nothing funnier than to hear Preppy as a grandfather.

Books under 3 hours should never be purchased

I've read the entire King (Frazier) series and it's good. T.M. Frazier is an excellent storyteller if the 9 books in the series are any indication. But this short (not a story, not a novella) is very disappointing. Not a wrap-up nor an ending, more like a "Hey, here are some scenes that didn't make it into any of the other books but I figured I might make a buck or two on it." Well, it's not worth the money at all.

Here's why:

(Spoiler alert) And seriously, this plotline is so crazy no one can suspend reality long enough to enjoy the story. The protagonist, King's wife, Doe/Pup/Ray, is in labor (and we are told she's scheduled for a cesarean section in two days), walks in knee-deep, hurricane-strength flood waters to rescue her daughter who is being kidnapped by her birth mother who's car is in over-the-tires floodwaters (which means that with the door open, the water is flowing into her car). Pup saves her daughter after a rather lengthy argument with the birth mother involving guns (that did not get wet in the floodwaters), but she is ultimately swept away while hanging onto her daughter and experiencing the end stages of contractions. She lashes herself and daughter to the dregs of kid's swing set (must have been a very strong swing set!) until rescued on some kind of water cycle (whatever they are called) by King who would have come sooner if only he hadn't been shooting it up in the back yard with the bad guys. Once safely inside the newly minted second floor of their stilt home (which has miraculously survived the ravages of the hurricane, intact), she delivers her own baby. . .

I suppose if the book were just 10 minutes longer we would have learned that after giving birth she lept up and in a Moses-like move parted the floodwaters so she could plow the back 40 later that afternoon.

With over 300 books in my library, I should have known not to plunk down cash, in any amount, for less than 3 hours of "entertainment." Keep your money and your credits in your pocket.

Another glimpse into the world I love!

I can’t believe I am actually done with the King series! I have relistened to King’s, Bear’s, and Preppy’s stories multiple times but I finally made it through all the side characters and this was a perfect little novella to end the series with! Honestly, I will never get enough of those three and Teddy Hamilton was perfect and bringing them to life this time!

Postpartum Depression... Really????

Was looking forward to King, Preppy and Bear story. What I got was Lucy Rivers poor narration for the majority of the story, pups pregnancy and postpartum depression.

A King And His Pup Novella

Flipping heck. It’s all going on in Logan’s Beach. Ray is pregnant again, she’s not coping too well though, meanwhile King is dealing with a takeover bid for the Causeway. Lots of action and drama in this novella. A couple of weeks before the baby’s due the threat arrives, the Causeway is shut off in the middle of a hurricane and that’s just the beginning. It isn’t Ray’s first rodeo though, and she proves to King just how worthy she really is. Heart in mouth action, emotion and a touch of romance. I just love everything King. Of course Teddy Hamilton and Lucy Rivers make the audio come to life with excellent narration.

wasn't worth the full price/1 whole credit

definitely read the whole series before listening to this. you need to get the full story behind preppy and who the two other bikers are. I'm hoping there is more to this story.

It kills me to say this but......I'm disappointed!

I was so looking forward to this novella as I loved this series and the characters in it. I listened on audible and the narration was great. The story started out well but I was put off in the center and towards the end. Not because the story was bad because it wasn't it was enjoyable but because of the issues with inconsistencies in the book. Some examples of what I mean are: 1) Doe clearly states she was wearing jeans but then when she became intimate with King he removed her shorts 2) King lowers Doe to the carpet then she arches her back off the bed then she was back on the carpet then she was back on the bed. These things even though small put me off the enjoyment I would normally find in one of TM Frazier's books. The flow of the book was not there with these issues. If these issues were fixed I would have rated this book much higher than two stars perhaps four.
