Publisher's Summary

At fourteen, Audrey has the perfect life: great parents, great buddies, and her best friend, Asher.

Only lately Asher has begun to change. He seems distant and standoffish, ignoring Audrey. Not all of the changes are bad. He’s growing from a pretty boy into a handsome man, and Audrey is all too aware of that. But if they cross the line from friends to something more, will things stay the same, or will she lose her best friend forever?

This is not an erotic story. It is the prequel to the events that unfold in Asher, book one of Inked Brotherhood, and sets up many of the characters of the series.

UMMM... WTAF!

I feel as though this prequel is not even necessary. you don't know what the hell is going on with the two leads in the story the entire time. and you're just sitting there wondering for the full 40 minutes. So on to the next book to try to find out what the hell is goin on.

Teenage drama

This prequel to the series is about 14 year olds and their first experiences with attraction. It is a typical story, well written, but hard to enjoy due to the narrator’s monotone voice.

prequel

this is just a prequel of Asher and Audrey story. it tells us a little bit of their backstory how they met how they've been friends forever how it seems like Audrey has all these feelings and she's not sure how at your feels, but at a party everything switches and it was very intense but at the very end Asher has now decided that he is not going to talk to her or speak to her again. Audrey goes home crying and that's how the prequel pretty much ends. it sounds like it's going to be a pretty nice story I really like Asher I don't know why yet but he seems like he's troubled and I want to know why he's troubled because something's going on and some of his friends know and they're not letting Audrey know so I want to know what's going on. so I'm going to get into Asher and see how it's going because I think this is going to be a really good series it's the first I've seen it and I was excited and I wanted to see if I was going to like it so I listen to the prequel it was well worth my time.

nope!

narration is awful. even though this is free, I will not continue with the rest due to this starting off with 14yr Olds. what 14yr Olds are throwing ragers with booze???? give me a break. then we have 14yr Olds trying to get a conflicting pair together. to finish, when the line " smells like clean sweat" is used, I couldn't go on. this is a 30 min book and I couldn't even make it to 10 mins. no thanks, even for free!

good opening

This was a prequel so there wasn't much to it. it sets the stage for the upcoming story which I hope will be good. the narrator sounds robotic and didn't exude a lot of emotion but hopefully she gets better if she narrates the next book.

Hello

My 1st Jo Raven book. I’m not a big fan of prequels even though I can never resist them. This was okay for an intro to Jo’s writing and the brotherhood. It hooked me well enough to dive into Asher’s book.💖

Good start

This is a nice little prequel to set the foundation of this relationship. I can see fireworks in their future. Even though it’s short there’s a lot of chemistry written into these characters.
