Enemies to Lovers Rockstar Romance

This second book in the Mile High Rocked series focused on Bax, the lead singer and Courtney, the band's publicist and Linx's sister.

Bax has a PR crisis when he and his fiance break up. Courtney is there to help him go into hiding. One thing leads into another and 5 weeks later, Courtney finds out that she and Bax now have a little baby on the way. This is when the timelines cross towards the end of Played by the Rockstar though this book can absolutely be read alone. I just though it was cool to see Bax's perspective on the band's reunion.

Courtney and Bax try to make a relationship work and do get together as they both fall in love with their "Little Bad Ass". There are lots of cute and endearing moments, though I will be honest, I would have done it a little differently from how Courtney handled their challenge towards the end.

Knox was a surprisingly lovable character. I cannot wait for his book to come out.

The audio version was narrated by Jason Clarke and Rose Dioro. I loved Rose's portrayal of Courtney. She just has this happiness to her voice that makes listening to her so easy. Jason sings a bit in this book so that is always a plus! Bax's cluelessness at times and his charm was well portrayed by Jason.

Left me wanting an encore!!

Knocked Up By The Rockstar by Christina Hovland is an accidental pregnancy, best friend/little sister and frenemies to lovers romance.

Bax is a huge (wink, wink) rockstar whose life is completely turned upside down when he is betrayed by his fiancé. Courtney is the sassy publicist for the band and the little sister of the bassist. One steamy shower scene later, Bax and Courtney are faced with all the decisions that come with an accidental pregnancy. Is a duet in the books for these two or just some co-parenting?

Rose Dioro and Jason Clarke are the narrators for this book. They did an amazing job bringing these characters to life for me. Rose did a wonderful job with conveying all the emotions that Courtney was feeling as a newly pregnant woman whose life was very much shaken up. Jason played the perfect cocky, yet vulnerable rockstar… not to mention his pirate accent is absolutely hilarious.

Knocked Up By The Rockstar is book 2 in the Mile High Rocked series but can be read/listened to as a stand-alone. I really enjoyed this book and the epilogue left me wanting an encore.
I loved seeing how Bax and Courtney’s story played out from being friends as children, then to frenemies and ending as lovers… along with a cute narrative filled with love, some drama and lots of laughs.

I loved this so much!

Courtney and Bax were childhood friends. She's now the bands publicist and one night they come to blows and became enemies ever since. She has to help him hide from the paparazzi and takes him home. One thing leads to another and, well, they get more than they bargained for. I loved this book so much! It was hot, had some humor and was sweet! I enjoyed their journey in getting to know each other again.
Rose Dioro and Jason Clarke were perfect as Courtney and Bax!!

Fun and Steamy Accidental Pregnancy Rockstar Romance!!

Knocked Up by the Rockstar by Christina Hovland was a fun and steamy accidental pregnancy rockstar romance I didn't know I needed. Courtney and Bax's love story is not your typical love story, however their journey to happiness will leave your heart super happy and have you cheering for their own HEA with their little bad ass.

This audiobook is narrated by Rose Dioro and Jason Clarke and written in third person. Rose did an fantastic job bringing Courtney to life conveying all of her doubts, determination, and desires. Rose was so expressive in her performance, and this made me love Courtney's character even more. Jason Clarke super swoony in his performance of Bax. In his narration, you could feel all of Bax's inner turmoil and his joy as he came full circle and realized his true feelings for Courtney. This was my first time hearing Rose and Jason paired together, and it was great!

Overall I enjoyed this story and audiobook. If you love a rockstar romance with an accidental pregnancy, a hunky dedicated lead singer, a sweet and snarky publicist, a reunited rockband, a cute little bad ass, unexpected steamy times, disputes in pirate talk, singing, and one little happy family with their own HEA, the you will love Courtney and Bax's story. I am looking forward to more from Christina Hovland.

Spunky and Hunky = Tiny Badass

Knocked Up by the Rockstar is a fun and spicy accidental pregnancy, rock star romance. This is not your typical love story but the journey to happiness for Courtney and Bax will leave feeling all the feels.

I was given an ALC copy of this book and was brand new to Christina Hovland's work. While I'm not the biggest fan of books written in third person, I truly enjoyed this one. Jason Clarke and Rose Dioro had a way of bring the characters of Bax and Courtney, as well as all the side characters, to life that it was so easy to put myself into the story. Rose was perfect for Courtney. She really made Courtney lovable by bringing out all her spunk and feistiness. The character of Bax has so much inner turmoil, from deciding if he wants to continue with his music career, a relationship that just ended, and then the "tiny badass" on the way. Jason really makes you feel everything that Bax does. I hope Rose and Jason do more together. They were fantastic together!!!

This book had everything. If you like rock stars, accidental pregnancies, and witty banter between a fiery publicist and a hunky lead singer, then this is the book for you. Go check it out now.

Absolutely loved this audio book!!

I was first introduced to this group in Played by the Rockstar. I loved that audio book as well so i knew I would like this one.

This book is Bax and Courtney's story. Courtney is Linx's younger sister AND the bands publicist, so when Bax's engagement implodes, she's tasked with getting him away from the public eye. Only prob is that during his stay with her, they have a one night stand that ends up with her being pregnant.

The story is hilarious and so sweet. So many parts made me laugh...Dr. Pepper, the pink house, the pirate ship...

Sigh... I really enjoyed listening to this book and am looking forward to the next in the series!! The narrators did a great job on the book.. definitely kept my interest!!

Love the Audiobook...Absolutely Fun!

Love, love this book even more than the first and that's saying something because I thought the first book in this particular series by Mrs. Hovland is fabulous...but this book is even better. I just think the narrators that performed this book did a spectacular job of nailing down the two main characters and all the side characters. Absolutely salivating for the third book in this series.

Great Rockstar Romance!

This is the second book in the Mile High Rocked Series, a spin off series of the Mile High Matched Series. This is a series of interconnected stories. I loved Courtney and Bax’s story. Courtney is Linx’s sister from Played by the Rockstar, the first book in the series. She is a beautiful character, funny, spontaneous, and talkative. Bax is the popular lead singer of the Dimefront band. He is handsome, supportive, and caring. The story is sweet, steamy, hilarious, and heartwarming, The supporting characters are great. Courtney’s family is awesome! I like the brotherhood in this story. This is a great addition to the series. Jason Clarke and Rose Dioro did an excellent job with the narration. They are perfect as Courtney and Bax. This is a great rockstar romance. Looking forward for more in the series!

Emotional, funny, well written and well narrated

I always know that I'm going to get a great romcom from Christina Hovland, and Knocked Up by the Rockstar was just what I wanted. We have former friends turned frenemies Bax and Courtney, who are now forever connected after letting their emotions get the best of them one night. But Courtney is so reluctant to really give Bax a chance because all she wants to do is find the Brennan that she know is there deep down inside.

Bax is in a spiral, and it takes almost losing what he didn't know he wanted to keep in order to turn himself around. While on the surface he seems like a bad boy rocker, Hovland wrote a truly swoony worthy, earnest, emotional and vulnerable male lead that is so much more than meets the eye. His connection with Courtney is soul deep, and has been laying dormant for years because he was hiding it, living down to everyone's expectations of him for so long because he couldn't let his heart want what it truly wanted.

I loved how Bax and Courtney were able to see past everyone else's perceptions of them and just be the two of them, learn each other's true characters again, and really bond. Sure, they were thrown together by the unexpected pregnancy, but on a so true level, they just really belong together.

The narration of this book is so well done. Jason Clarke really captures Bax's vulnerability, which is critical throughout this entire book. Rose Dioro as Courtney gives the perfect balance of determination, sweetness, understanding and skepticism that the character's journey needed. Her tone and delivery was flawless throughout. Together they both draw the listener in and keep you engrossed and invested. Loved every second of it!
