Would’ve Made a great Episode for the Show

I was a fan of the Kolchak Night Stalker show back in the 70s. It was one of the first forays into unexplained phenomena. For those that aren't familiar with the show, the great Darin McGavin portrayed the title character in two tv films and a short lived show, as a reporter who uncovers vampires, werewolves and more. This show inspired a young man named Chris Carter to create the X-Files. McGavin even appeared in an episode. This original story fits the show and character perfectly. I read this book using immersion reading while listening to the audio book. Johnny Heller's voice is perfect, embodying the character to a T. As usual Kolchak finds himself drawn to the unusual. A great short story, very entertaining.

Wasn't sure what to expect

I think I've seen a few episodes of the television show. This was very much in that vein. The performance was good, steady, smooth, easy to listen to. I'm not a dan if stories where the author leaves the ending up to the reader. If you are, I'd recommend it.

Not as fun as the TV Series

If you are expecting a fun and scary adventure like the classic television series, look elsewhere. This is a dull shaggy dog story that takes forever to get started.

The Usual Kolchak Romp, This Time In The Andes

Kolchak is everyone's favorite cheesy paranormal detective who bungles his way from one adventure to another. If you love Kolchak, this tale should not disappoint. Perfect narration!

Well performed light story

Johnny Heller gave a clear performance with good pace.

The story is absolutely fine. Not great but not bad. An easy to follow narrative which kept flowing.
