disgusting

extremely off-putting to listen to the mc and or friends making jokes after a big fight while their supposed friend "irma' or w/e is being raped. good job author. it's annoying how the author tried to make mc feel remorse as if he actually cared. and seriously what is with all the characters being introduced having little to no iq? the only smart new characters introduced in like all the series were the orc and maybe ainon. last thing, why the hell is everyone battle compared to Annie's level even though we've never once every seen or witnessed get capabilities. author is basically saying this pardon is as strong as the one and only God whom no one can even prove of his existence. thanks for the comparison that tells nothing... I normally like the mc but throughout every single book of this series, my annoyance and hated for the mc had only grown. he doesn't even deserve a name imo and that's why I refer to him as nothing more than a dad excuse of "mc".

Awesome story

First i have to say the Orc's in this book are the best i have seen in any story.

im surprised people were triggered by the one ritual considering they made it this far in the story have already explained that slavery and other indecent acts exist, and often they are outside of the mc's control.

So even though im sure the author covered the fact that the world the story is in a world full of horror and suffering.

Trigger warning.
if you made it this far and you get surprised and upset your dumb... especially after sandkesh story...

Trash story arch

Senseless murder and rape of girls. Main character then goes against his morals and says that they deserved it.

Stupid orc dream

3 chapters spent on that nonsense?! Beyond annoying. Just skip ahead, it's not worth it.

Not worth it

In the last book we finally got to the empire Darnasus. And then as soon as we understand anything about Darnasus or get into the arc, Hadjar just kinda drops in somewhere else and goes on a different journey with different people. I’m really disappointed with the direction of this story, as the last book or two have been really solid and comprehensive progression. The MC will always be the main character, but the things Hadjar finds himself mixed up in simply implausible. Everywhere he goes in is dead center in something that’s been brewing for centuries, millennia, or eons. Hadjar has been cultivating for like 10 years and somehow he’s always in the middle of everything, it really just doesn’t make sense and the author sure a sh** loves to remind us how miserable this story is. It leaves you feeling pity, remorse for rooting for the MC, and in some cases just dirty after wading through some of this book. I think the author is bad at describing scenes as he tries to get the narrator to make everything seem profound and drawn out, but it makes for a grueling pace. I’m pretty sure this was recorded at 1.4x and then slowed down to 1x to make the book seem longer. Listen at 1x and it sounds like narrator is talking in slow motion. I’ve found 1.8x to be the least annoying speed because you can rush through most of the filler parts. The fights are especially recycled “this thing could have crushed a lord level cultivator”. “Nothing could break the will of a dragon”. “Within the technique you could see a dragon and everyone clutches their sword as they sensed the primal power” etc etc. these phrases are minority adjusted to not make it too obvious, but every single fight Hadjar is out of his depth and in the same way struggles through with his “dragons will” or something similar. Last book didn’t have a ton of these fights and a lot of new characters and worldbuilding, so I had hoped we’d have a better result, but I’m ending my read through here. The book is pretty trash.

Favourite series and narrator

Favourite series and favourite narrator, highly recommend haven’t found a better series so far and the narrator is made for this series, wouldn’t be the same without him. Excellent job by the author aswell, best in the game.
