Amazing

This is one of the best books ( or book series) I have ever read. The story is amazing, it is as good as the prequel, and the audio was good! Great job.

A feel good zombie story

I will miss the Rains. I really enjoyed this story. This is part two to “the rains” so go there first. Speaking as a little brother I can relate to the feeling of being deep in trouble and having some come in and say “I’ve got it from here little brother” great story. There are a few little issues but with these types of stories you have to let some stuff slide.

it had its moments

the story had some good moments but generally I wish I never started this book and I actually put the speed to 1.8 x to wrap it up since I already invested so much time in it along with skipping a bunch of stuff at the end

Exhausting!!

It's like the Walking Dead on steroids. No lul in the action, it just keeps coming, one life ending threat after another.

Hurwitz is Human After All

I apologize upfront because Greg Hurwitz is one of my favorite authors. I am guilt ridden that I did not take some of the stars from my 10-star reviews of his Orphan X books and generously donate them here. But instead, honesty. I wanted so badly to quit listening to this story but I trudged on knowing it would get better. It didn't. One Hurwitz's great strength is getting the reader to believe that impossible scenarios, characters and interactions are actually plausible. Didn't happen. Do I regret buying Last Chance? Not really. I am happy to support this remarkable author, and even the best home run hitters strike out sometimes. Also, I could be wrong. Looks like a lot of other people rated it highly.

Not his best work

Any additional comments?

An engaging story and very good character development. The frequency of deus ex machine moments made it almost farcical though
